    Yes, you have to relocate the rear lower shock mounts on 1st Gens if you want a U-bolt flip. I have all of my materials to do so, but just waiting to find someone who can weld the relocation brackets on for me at a reasonable fee.

    not really worth it unless your gona run longer shocks and relocate the upper mounts too.

    Agreed. This is my plan for the near future, but I know not everyone is interested in going this route. If not, just get a new or gently used set of OEM's for replacement :thumbsup:

    i put in another crossmember behind axle and using some 10" 5125s atm. will probably go 12" 7100 short bodies later when i upgrade leafs.

    my trucks never had a spare on it but it should fit. the shocks arent mounted back much farther than stock.

    I'm trying to decide if I want to do a similar set-up or just go through the bed. I want to keep my spare in the stock location and have bed space still (I know I'm asking a lot here!). I've seen some really nice space-saving bed cages that make it really tempting to go with this route.
