I'm just curious if we could see a 4x4 Taco, TRD Sport Access or similar for something like 3-5k under MSRP?

(So would we be able to get a nice decked out 4x4 turd Sport for something under 30k? once the new 2018's arrive)

I believe you can get that now with some dealing. Kinda depends which area of the country you are in.

Wow that would be nice, I live in Ohio and Virginia. Not that great of a negotiator when it comes to dealers I guess

It likely depends where you live. If you live in an area where they sell like crazy, I wouldn't count on it.

In my experience it easier to make a deal on a 4x4 tacoma at larger big city dealerships. (I haggled at a few places in Charlotte for a month but got 5500 off the sticker) Also Toyota should be started to change over there manufacturing lines last week to 2018s so dealers will be pitching the 2017s off here in a few weeks.

Holy cow, $5500 off the MSRP is pretty awesome. Mind if I ask what model and trim level you got? And what your OTD ended up being?

Mine is a 2015 DCSB 4x4 sr5 with towing package. Sticker is 33800. Final sale price was 28100 out the door with tax title and tag. Toyota of North Charlotte.

There shouldn't be any negotiating needed. I'd ask for the Costco price. Or at least bring it up and see if they can beat it.

Beautiful truck. Heck of a deal too. Super white has really grown on me. Never thought I'd want a white truck, but the black accents and the stormtrooper look, can't be done with any other color

Is that similar to the Sam's Club Price? I don't have a Costco membership... just Sam's

    I couldn't tell you. I didn't know Sam's Club had a car discount.

As others said, depends on where you live... but given the popularity of this truck, I wouldn't count on it. You won't find a brand new 4x4 for under 30K, I can guarantee that.

Thanks man. I really love it.
Also I pay only 1% sale tax (farm truck) so my final price was lower. Think it was like $27500 before all the BS. I had 3 dealerships kinda going in circles for a while.

Depends largely on where you live and dealer stock.

Always buy the last week of the month and quarter if you can.

Depends what the market is like in your area. My used 2016 with 22k miles on it was listed at $4k over what I bought it for new when I sold it to them and they put it up for sale.

I bought it for 32.5k, put 22k miles on it, the dealer gave me 31k for it and put it up for sale at 36.5k.

They said the used market is really strong for these trucks and each year there aren't many changes but the MSRP increases.

I purchased my 17 white Limited at a large dealership in the metro-Phoenix area back in April. I paid cash and got $4,100.00 off MSRP. I was very pleased with the deal.

You can usually beat the Costco price with a little negotiating. I guess it depends on the dealer, but the Costco price is just a small discount for people who don't want to play the dickering game.
