Thankfully I have the tools for the swap, but I appreciate it. I'd like to order a long block before the end of the week, JDM or refurbished. Still debating.

you'll likely have to swap all that as the intake changed a lot through the years anyways. Honestly, i'd pull the ''new motor" apart no matter what and inspect it. But they are damn good motors so i would not have any reason to not put the blower back on any motor. Our friend Tony boosted his at 186k and has probably 250k on it....and he does NOT drive it nicely haha

Interesting. I'm partly worried that I enjoyed boost to much. Are you familiar with any causes that may result in a busted crankshaft? Max psi I hit is 7.

    It's broken.

    ...it...will..

    Click...Upload File.

    Select photo.

    Done.

Can do it on your phone too.

Main bearings that hold the crank in place got ovaled out. So it doesn't spin straight causing all kinds of fun problems.

nah. Doubt it. Most likely an slightly unbalanced crank or a bearing went bad and slowly ate itself away is much more likely.

That's relieving because I've been worried about putting it back on thinking it was to blame.

It's a video. Both are roughly 15 seconds.

Other than YouTube is there a place to upload short video clips.

I've never starved it, but when I saw the oil leak I did measure and it was a quart low, but it only started leaking after knocking. Still on dip stick just under the safety line.

So I sent you the two videos on Instagram.
Also the two misfires share the same coil pack.

The test without the harmonic was the fatal... I mean it already was bad, but we had hopes the balancer was fucked and broken... But upon removal we lost all hopes.
