I shot the same old 1996 Alpine Rebel TC for years until I finally gave in and bought a 2014 Hoyt Faktor Turbo. Worlds apart, but when all of my buddies that got a new bow every year would break my balls about it I'd remind them that I still fill my freezers every year. Shoot what you've got and when it comes time to replace it you will definitely know exactly what you like and don't like about the new line-ups. Bet I shopped and shot thirty different bows before I decided to purchase the Hoyt.

Samezies. I'm not a big fan of sitting in a blind/stand sweating my balls off in 80 degree heat. Hunting deer in cold weather is like my favorite thing to do, so I don't want to taint that with no damn heat. Screw the heat!

Yep...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have a Savage .270 with a $50 3x9 scope, maybe $200 in clothes and gear, and I buy all my stands used or make them myself. I love seeing these idiots go drop thousands of dollars on crap they don't need...looking like a damn Cabelas mannequin lol. I have a friend who has a $2k Leupold scope and only hunts deer with it. I'm like, "dude, that's like watching the 1964 Superbowl on a 4k tv!"

I will say, I have a $50 scope on my muzzleloader, and a $200 Nikon on my .30-06, and there's a world of difference in clarity and how well you can see right around dusk. My dad has $500 redfield scope, and my Nikon is clearer than his. He's thinking about selling his and getting one like mine actually. That was the first time I've ever spent over $75 on glass and it was totally worth it.

My Savage came equipped with a cheap 3x9 and it was terrible. I broke down and bought a Tasco World Class for like $60 and I like it. I'm sure I could spend more and be able to see better at dusk, but it gets the job done. I might splurge on something fancier one day, but it definitely won't be over a couple hundred dollars. I'm not trying to see the flag on the moon.

cant use lighted nocks for hunting here in Idaho so no point in me using them for practice. Need to practice correctly and aim small miss small.

I didn't think I would be able to tell a difference between my trusty Bear Domain and a high end bow.

An hour later I was a new owner of a Reign 7. To each his own haha!

This bow is serious business on comfort setting, I can only imagine how crazy this thing will be in performance setting.

I don't head out in the rain, but if I'm in the stand I'll stay out.

I would rather hunt in the snow then the rain.

I wish I had the option to take both weapons out. we can hunt with bow during the firearm season, but you can't have both with you.

I haven't lost an arrow with a lighted nock yet. the blue tooth tracker would be great for tracking game. but most times the arrow goes clean through anyway.

Difference between comfort and performance? My understanding it's safe draw weight and length but at setting on the cam itself.
