I spent my Saturday night shaving my bung hole...
    :D
I didn't like how close the O2 sensors were to the insulation covering the firewall, so I set up the header in my mini mill and indicated the face of the bung, and skimmed it down 1/8"
    IMG_3004.jpg
Trying to make a circle on a manual mill is like trying to draw boobs with an etch-a-sketch... luckily I have a lot of practice
    IMG_3005.jpg
And yes, it sucks to pull the headers out, but the shorty headers are steel, and we had to grind off the ceramic coating to weld the stainless tubing to them, so I had to coat those joints with VHT ceramic paint to keep them from rusting. So they had to come off anyway. Plus someone put the header gasket on wrong and it was leaking...

    Sound clips coming soon

Your truck is going to be ausome , I"m at WOW , look at that , you have great skills , A work of art , you should work for NASA !
I have some ???? your truck is a TRD with all that stuff , ABS, Auto LSD, Down hill assist , A-trac , and ????
how did you get around all that (shit ) ? Master brake cylinder has 4 brake lines coming out of it ? That alone keeps me from a straight axle swap ??

You must be a stronger man than I. I couldn't bear seeing such a fine collection of stainless steel tubing welded onto a rusty tail pipe like that. :D

Question though for you and anyone else with relevant experience. After trimming the fenders and I'm assuming painting the cut edge, then putting on edge trim, you ever have issues with rust? That's one of my bigger fears when contemplating cutting for a snorkel or 35s.

Thanks! All that crap is disabled. You still have 4 brake lines, one going to each brake.

The tail pipe isn't rusty. It's baked on red dirt. It comes right off with a wire brush, but I'm wheeling this as soon as it's done so I don't give a shit. The rest of it will look the same anyway. If you are gonna cut sheet metal and drill holes, as long as you clean up the edges and then prime and paint it well, it shouldn't be a problem.

Got the passenger side header off this morning, dialed it in on the mill, and skimmed 1/8" off the o2 sensor bung. Ceramic paint is drying now.

No rust on my fenders or snorkel cuts after 4.5 years. Both have trim on them.

Big thanks to Jesse @1uzrnr for giving me a great price on this dirty, but pretty much brand new 37" KM2 tire that will be mounted on the M/T Baja wheel (also from Jesse) and will serve as my spare. I was planning on buying a cheap AT for a spare, but this is cheaper and is pretty badass for a spare tire. Taking everything down to a tire shop today to be mounted having all my tires balanced.

I finally ran the breather lines for the T case and transmission. It's going to the ARB breather, and has an extra port for the front axle. and also I have the "overflow bottle" from PSC for the steering reservoir, but it's more of a pressure relief valve since it doesn't look like it's actually gonna hold any fluid. But it does keep the resi pressurized.

I think my death wobble is gone. I got up to 55 a few times, and no wobbles. I even took @Vigo for a ride and he was bored cause no drama  It rides pretty nice, drives normal. Brakes work great. Just a lot more body roll in the turns.
Not sure what exactly was causing the wobble. Could have been a combination of a few things. The front tires got balanced, but still wobbled. The wheel bearings needed a little more torque, and I set them properly, but still had wobbles.
So I put a few extra grunts into all the link bolts. A little more torque on the pitman nut. Tightened up the steering box a little more.
Now I'm around 1/8" toe in and 7* caster. I might bring the caster in a little more since steering is kinda heavy. I'll try 6* tomorrow and see if I get wobbles.
Big relief getting the truck up to freeway speeds! Now I won't have to trailer it to the truck shows!
