I'm with you there! I think the only thing that would hold me back would be knowing that taking the old bumper off will not be fun at all with all the damn salt up here, id be dealing with a lot of rusty bolts haha u should have seen the piles of rust falling off the rear end when I was cutting holes for my flush mounts hahaha

Oh we get our share of salt. I know we don't get near the snow you do but hell the pre-wet brine injection system for the spreaders was invented rt her at the VDOT where I used to work. Then they started the pretreatments to the roads God knows never drive behind one of those trucks

oh man I hear yah its brutal. I do get it undercoated before winter which does help. I also got lucky that the previous owner lived in Quebec in an area where they use sand instead of salt, but he never got it undercoated so it still has some rust. still pretty damn clean considering she's 8 years old. the rear bumper and the hitch are the worst. frame obviously has surface rust which is next to impossible to prevent hahaha I'm always envious when I see pictures of peoples undercarriages on here without a spec of rust anywhere

Well then you'll be ready for MOAB! jk The slider grip tape thing only reason i said anything is they deffiately have value getting in as I heard f several folks who slipped on there sliders and were injured. On the other side of it Ive had several tell me they had the skinn torn up on th back of their legs getting out of it hitting on the grip tape.

Maybe if I had gotten the kickouts I would put some grip tape on the back end for getting in the bed behind the cab and stuff.

But I went no kickouts for the total bro slider effect

I guess I'm just too old and don't quite understand the Bro thing. I mean I get it when y'all call the big trucks with the big chrome wheels with lopro tires and the bling all over them that are clearly not meant to run through the bushes Bro trucks (which I have absolutely nothing against to each their own) It's when I see trucks that are seemingly being built to off road such as @Coot83 and yourself with no chrome, functional suspensions, functional sized and type wheels and tires, and armor yet reffering to them as "Bro" trucks I get confused I just don't understand. It seems to be a contridiction to me. Like I said I believe in everyone doing what they want with their trucks. I guess with descriptions or stereotyping them I'm just lost.

Lol! You crack me up Chris.

I just call my sliders 'bro sliders' because the are flat off the frame (no angle up) and have no kickout

Basically everything a legit offroader would want, left off.

BUT, that being said. They are stout as could be and Im enjoying the piece of mind that comes along with having protection.

I just embrace the "bro" since everyone asks why I go LT on the east coast? It's a contradiction like you said as a true bro is all about looks and fashion with no regard for functionality. Also since I got the vape patch and the kbros, might as well just roll with it haha.
