Just being a lazy fucker. Avoiding mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, and grocery shopping. But I guess it's about time to get off TW and accomplish things.

 

Horizontal or vertical? Just the compressor? Any tools/accessories come with it? What's the model number?

 

Picture shows orientation of compressor hose will come with it no tools unless they can be found and when I get home I will get the other info.

Are those the mounting brackets that came with it? or did you purchase those?

4. one GP Air hammer w/tie rod tool

Now when I moved the compressor the bottom drain broke off so I went to home depot and bought a new end piece for the pipe so that will need to be replaced the piece can be seen in the pic with the air gun. It will need an easy out to remove the broken piece..

No it doesn't come with any mounting brackets and every aftermarket mounting that I saw was around $30 each ... so I just went to Home Depot and grabbed these 6" x 6" steel L brackets. They came pre-drilled, but I had to make new holes to line up with the channels on the back of the awning. It's plenty solid though and a cheap solution.

 

And stainless steel, right?
That awning looks great.

 

Lol I couldn't find any SS L brackets ... but these are zinc-coated steel so they should last a little while at least. If not I guess I'll just have to fork out another $6 for some more.

 

Could coat them in something to delay any future weathering.

 

Yeah I probably will. I'm debating on painting them black or not since the shiny metal sort of stands out.

 

I was thinking that too. Now that they are mounted, he could paint them black, or if he wants to keep them as is, a shot of clearcoat or something

 

Are you going to leave the awning mounted to the rear side of the rack? or would you change to the sides at some point?

Personally i would like to be able to mount it to any of the three sides.

 

I'm keeping this one mounted at the rear because I'll be getting one of the bigger ARB awnings to go on the driver side.
