Just ordered my Billy 5100's from DSMS. Can't wait to get them. What setting is usually level with the back? My rear sits about an 1" higher from the Top of the tire to the fenderwell.

Front (2.75" total): 1.6" Eibach coils, Toytec 0.5" (L) & 0.25" (R) top plate spacers, 5100's @ 0.85", Built Right uniball UCA's, Differential drop, Removed sway bar Rear: TSB springs, Wheeler's 1.5" AAL, 5100's, 2* shims, Carrier bearing drop, F and R Spidertrax, 285/75-16 Goodyear Duratracs, Self-fabbed sliders, rear bumper, and skid plates, Cobra 75 CB, Bed lined slim lo-pro tool box, Bed Extender, Diff breather mod, Two tail gate security mods, Exhaust dumped behind axle, Can't leave shit alone so plenty more coming...
1st gens have 3 settings. If you're not planning on lifting the back, the middle 1.75" setting would sit the most level, 0" would keep the rake, and 2.5" would give you the bro look. The higher you go, the harsher the ride. I've heard 5100's are comfortable up to 1.75" and that at 2.5", you start to feel the difference.

I've had mine 2nd gen 5100's at 0" and 0.85". I couldn't feel the difference between the two. I got the rest of my 2.75" lift with coils and top plate spacers. Mine rides as good as the stock TRD Off Road suspension (which was quite nice).

If you don't want to raise the rear, I would stick with the 1" setting. 2.5" is going to make your front noticeably higher than the rear.

Downsouthmotorsports said the average 1st gen 5100 lift (since you are a 1st gen and in the 1st gen section) with the three settings is 0", 1", and 2.5". The 1" setting gave me just a tad under 1". They say average since they don't know how tired your front springs are. Not sure if you are installing the 5100s yourself, but don't be alarmed if you put them on and your truck looks jacked up in the front. I had a 1.75" lift going until I drove it around the block. Then it settled to about 1".

Yeah that's all I need is about an 1'' to be level I think. Good to know, about it settling, I know 2.5'' will be way to much, until I decide whether or not to lift the rear. Will my 265/70/16 look goofy with 2.5'' in the front and say 1.5'' in the back?
