All my fence posts are set! Damn tree guys scared off by a little rain... we worked through it, little wet but nothing to write home about. Setting the top rail tomorrow and hopefully have some fence stretched by tomorrow night.

He's a neighbor from around the block and he cut me a really good price. I wouldn't be thrilled about being up in a bucket or climbing in a harness trying to run a saw in a downpour. I don't blame them for packing it in.

Yeah, I agree. I was under the trees most of the day so I was mostly protected from the rain. I still got soaked, but not like being exposed in a bucket truck.

Yessir! It's engaging really high up, don't want it to die on me during the winter lol. Plus if I get the truck stuck/in deep snow/have to pull someone, I don't want it to slip.

Stoney Lane in exeter ri, great trail ran it end to end and back yesterday in the rain. The river crossing came up just below the Tacoma badge on the door. Deep water solid ground. Great quick trail ride if anyone wants to check it out it's cool.

Did not die at the Spartan Beast yesterday. We went off in the competitive heat at 830am, and it poured buckets the first hour and half. Pretty cool to run the race in a tsunami, as everything was just sloppy as hell. Whole festival area flooded, changing tests had standing water/ mud in the them so changing into clean clothes was almost futile. All in all awesome day.

Parking is in a big ass field. Just getting in we saw people having trouble due to the slick grassy hills in the parking field, and we were some of the first ones there. By the time we left the field was a giant mud pit. Anything not 4wd was being pushed out or pulled by a big farm tractor. Even people with 4we were getting stuck. It was pretty sweet. I just laid the hammer down and shot muddy rooster tail the length of the field. But felt pretty bad for all the cars that were axle deep in thick mud.

Was gonna ask you about that. Yesterday around noon I saw Barre had the most rainfall in the area so far and thought of you/everyone at the Spartan event haha.

It was awesome imo. A lot of people were bitching, but really what did you think you signed up for? You want to be clean stay at home....

This pretty much sums up the day. Just got back from spraying it all of at the self service wash. So much mud, I hate mud on my truck. It also smells like cow shit which was nice.IMG_20170806_103200742_HDR.jpg

My boss traded his '06 Tacoma for a Frontier a while back and gave me Weathertech front mud flaps for it that he never used. I lost my originals long ago. Just put them on today. Didn't have any of the factory clips left--just the screws so I just used a bunch of small bolts to hold them on where the clips went originally and spritzed a little plasti-dip on them so the silver was less noticeable. Probably stronger than factory.

Now I await my leaf springs. Not worried about the piece of the broken leaf falling out because of where it broke (plus it hasn't budged), but it is a little noisy.

IMG_7994.jpg Clutch. Fucking. Kicked. My. Ass.

Correction, the 14mm bell housing bolt in the 10 o'clock position kicked my ass. I was able to remove my y-pipe, transmission crossmember, both driveshafts, all the wiring harnesses and sensors on the trans, the shifters, and ALL BUT ONE FUCKING BOLT :angrygirl: It rounded off. Apparently the way you do this is to have an incredibly long extension and some universal 6 point impact sockets. So I ended up getting my eyes full of sand and rust (even when wearing eye protection), wound up getting pissed off, threw a few things, and decided it would be best for me to regroup and try another day.

I went to autozone on the way home and got a 24" extension, an impact universal adapter, and some impact-safe extractors for rounded bolts. Gonna try this method next before I go full retard and grind the head off the bolt.

It doesn't help that the exhaust manifolds terminate RIGHT IN THE WAY OF YOUR WRENCHES, so trying to get the upper bolts is slow and infuriating. My upper body is killing me. I worked from 9:30-5 on this, and haven't pulled the trans yet. It's ready to go except for the bolt that needs extraction/surgery.

I'll see you there dude. Got a great brewery restaurant up there too. I'll take you guys there!
