Those Foxwings are a bit pricey for me. Plus the side awning is all part of a master plan ...

 

So I decided to get out to GWNF to take advantage of the awesome weather yesterday.

Messed around the trails at Switzer/Skidmore lake.


Then I hit flagpole knob. Played on the hill and started up the union springs trail, but I got nervous cuz it was getting late & I was alone so I turned around & went up the breiry branch road trail.

Then I stopped by Reddish knob on the way home

It was a pretty fun last minute solo get away. I got to test some new gear and push the truck on the trails and little faster than I normally would.

 

I need to get out there soon!

Those wheels are a little too bling but the car looks good. How was the tow back?

 

can i drop my sway bar with my truck being on the ground? or do i need to lift the front end?

 

You should just have to pull any skids out of the way

 

i just need to put on brackets for my bumper i dont even need to get rid of the swaybar, i just wasnt sure if it was safe to do on the ground.

 

With a little creativity I was able to remove mine with my front IFS skid still attached.

I'm actually gonna be heading out to flagpole this weekend to scratch these new skids and gonna off road at night back down to that open part and lie down to see the peak of the percides meteor shower sat night if anyones intrested

 

Also tonight I was stoken down the road at 55mph and a deer jumped out, luckly right into passenger side of my brushguard. It gave me a little scratch on the hood and got up and ran off

That was 2ed time that brush guard has taken out a deer

 

I think @boogie3478 is planning on hitting it up this weekend. I plan joining for a day trip with the family.

 

Sitting on the parkway south of lee chapel road. Truck is off. Came up on an accident just after it happened. Looks like theres bits of cars all over. Fire and rescue, and several fcpd have the road blocked.

 

I was but the group I was going to meet down there are going Sunday and not Saturday.
