Well, let me rephrase, as I just now completely read what you wrote. I missed the "hard to reach" part the first time I skimmed it. My 1/2" dewalt is awesome, but Fitting in hard to reach areas isn't where it shines. Bigger is better when it comes to raw loosening power, but if fitting in tight areas is what you're after 1/2" drive may be too much.

Going to drink more coffee now, and hopefully improve my reading comprehension.

Yeah I have a breaker bar for stuff that most people use an impact for and it gets the job done. I'm more concerned about getting my transmission out and sometimes weird angled bolts on exhaust flanges. 14mm is the biggest I'd use it on afaik. I have a set of 1/2" impact sockets I use with my breaker bar but like you said they might be too big for stuff like bell housing area clearance.

You have an 04, so you already have the new rack guide design. So you would just tighten the bolt down.

I have nothing to add about a 3/8 drive impact, other than it would be a hell of a lot faster than turning a wrench, but you already knew that. Ha Ha.

I'll try to put my sockets on the bolts and see what it will look like before I buy anything. Do step downs from 1/2 to 3/8 sockets do well with these - don't mind going that route if I have to buy some 3/8 impact sockets as well.

I have a Milwaukee brushless fuel 3/8 impact that does everything I need. It's not the strongest thing in the world but it can pull lug nuts off torqued to 90 ft/lbs so I can't ask much more for a cordless 3/8.

Some cool LED lights and a switch... King 2.5s - Front/Rear Total Chaos UCAs OME Dakar leafs
Hate to be a bummer man, check this post out regarding the rears/deavers. If you're running the OEM replacement Kings (25001-153), they're meant for +1.5" lift, max - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/deaver-leaf-springs-j59-king-shocks-25001-153-dont-work.463510/

May never be an issue for you, but something to keep in mind before investing in new leafs.

I may get mine relocated, talked with a local fabricator after I put my Dakars in. I wasn't exactly happy with the answer he gave, but it's been the same answer from 2 different people - don't relocate and expect the same ride quality/performance.

    Good luck man!

Anyone have a pic of an egr valve on a 5vz? Specifically where it comes from the exhaust manifold? LCE told me the passenger side and I've checked numerous times and not found one, so I want to be 100% sure before ordering headers.

This is the only pic I could find and really don't think I have one.

I don't have a 5vz but if you don't have the egr modulator (that round cap looking thing in the red circle) then you don't have EGR. There would be multiple vacuum lines running to it and it would be obvious.

Thanks. I'm 99.99% sure. There's nothing even remotely close coming off of my exhaust manifold as I've read that is where they get their input from.
