I LOVE it! Can't wait to use it next time I'm working on my truck in the nasty Virginia sun.

 

Flirting with the idea of redoing the brackets to make them about an inch lower so that the awning sits flush on top of the rack. While driving with it like this at up to 50mph I did not hear/feel any significant drag, but I wonder if lowering the awning that extra inch would increase the drag slightly since the wind wouldn't be able to go over and under the awning like it can now.

 

Any way you could invert the brackets?

 

You mean put them so the "L" points down versus up like I have them now?

That would be an easy solution ... but it would block the sweet "voodoo" cutout and I plan on adding a 3rd brake light behind the cutout.
