Who has their truck Paid off?

So close for me. Hoping to have it paid off in October. Bought new in June 2015 and hoping to get 300k out of the truck and sitting at 40k miles right now.

Bought my 2008 4x4 reg. cab new in Nov., 2007 in New Mexico. Paid in full before leaving the dealership.

As soon as I paid mine off I purchased the wife a 17 4Runner...

 

Paid my '15 off a few months ago with 15k on the odo. She's a keeper!

 

I pay cash these days. I haven't had a car payment in over 10 years.

 

I do the same. Make the payments to yourself even when the car is fully paid off. When it's time to replace it, you have cash bargaining power (hint: Negotiate on full price, but always make them think you will finance as you will get a better OTD price).

Spend too much on hookers and whiskey. Can't afford to pay off.

 

I don't owe anyone anything and I applaud people who strive to be debt free. The whole economy is set up to extract money from us working people. Resist it aggressively, and don't forget to save a few bucks for retirement. It's closer than you think.

Last payment was made in May. 167K+ miles.

 

Last loan on a truck was 2006. All vehicles since have been cash. Even paid the house off in 2011. To this day, that's still a great feeling!

I couldn't agree more. We save every month and before you know it, you have a nice chunk of change.

Bought and paid for day one dad always said if you can't pay cash , you can't afford it.
I personally think Dads right .
However beforefor those that do installments ...to each there own .
