Does it even have a sunglasses holder? I couldn't find it when I was at the dealer.

No and this erks me as well because I now have prescription glasses and sun glasses (getting old I guess) and in my tacoma I have a nice holder, in my 4Runner I have to resort to using my glasses case in console.

That sucks. I thought the little slot opening inside near the door handle "might" be a place to put the glasses or just put it in the center console.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'd say you made a good purchase and you got to keep the good engine and trans combo too.

I'm leaning towards trading my 2015 TRD Sport in next year for 2018. I passed on the cement pro this year. Leaning that way for a 18. Depending on the colors.

I made a few threads over the past about doing this... Still considering it. Three dogs, and we plan to try and have kids next year... Tacoma isnt going to handle it lol.

Cement pro goes away and replaced with Calvary blue for the 4Runner Pro. All the other colors return.

I think the only thing the OP is going to miss about his truck besides the bed is the spin on oil filter. The only issue I have with our 5th Gen 4Runner is the cartridge filter. It's a pain compared to the Tacoma's.

I'm feeling the T4R myself lately.. I have an awesome ramp door trailer that can haul more than the bed of the Tacoma could anyway and load it all super easy, so I'm very close to the same outcome!

Little story about first oil change for my '16, took it to toyota dealer, come home and oil all over my garage floor. Cleaned it 3 times, then realized it was more than oil dripping from skid plates. Anyway oil change kid forgot to tighten centre bung on filter cup. So ya spin on oil filters are easier and more idiot proof.

Yeah but it's a trade off for having rear disc brakes, power seats, fully boxed frame, etc...

Also the new supercharger for the dual VVT-I engine is coming out soon from Magnuson. 30% increase... estimated at 351 hp, 363 ft lbs of torque. ;)

Sorry, off topic but I just bought a 2017 last week and I specifically got the 2.7 for a reason. Even drove 3 hours to get the truck. Yesterday, I went to the local dealership because I saw they have a 4x4 DC 3.5 with a manual. I test drove the 3.5 in auto when they first came out and it was still disappointing with the 6 speed manual. I went for a longer test drive and the truck didn't really start moving until 4K+ rpms. I'm not really looking to drive a truck above those rpms. Saw a lifted Pro while I was there with 285's in E Load. I can only imagine how it would run with bigger heavier tires. Looked cool though.
