Nice rig! Prinsu offers a 1"x1" cross bar on the website that's supposed to clear that big shark fin on the 3rd gens. I ordered one with my rack.

Did you reinforce your shell at all to run the RTT?

Nope, no reinforcement. I actually purchased the cap without cross bar mounting options and just made my own. I do have the bed stiffeners tho.

It's the Thule Weekender. They are discontinued from 10 years ago or so but by dimension they are the best fit for the prinsu cab rack. You can still find them on Craigslist or other sites like that.

I'm running one of the massive ones since I have the full length rack now. Might keep it after moving for camping gear.

    Love this rack.

Guys, What's the best way to mount this. I am buying the tracks, and or feet for the top of my shell this week. I also could make a gutter style track if it worked best for this rack. After seeing photos I am thinking a Thule Track system might be best. Am I correct?

Yeah I still got nothing, I feel like I'm being straight up lied to by Prinsu. If you say you're gonna ship the rack Friday ship it!!!! Or be honest and realistic with your customers as to when the order will be fulfilled.

    Not enough...
Does anyone know where can I get these brackets in a 4"-5" height? They seem like a fairly straight forward, off the shelf product, I just have no idea what they are called.

Long story short, I need to raise my shell rack high enough so my hard shell RTT does not touch the cab back. I already tried 1" spacers under the cross bars, and then stacked cross bars, but it still touches. Need another 1" of height added.

You could go to a taller profile crossbar that would push it up

any more info on how you mounted the tracks on the side of your shell? I was thinking of something similar for tracks and/or rotopax.

I'm sure this has been covered, but... can I ditch the ditch molding and just leave the drain channels open? Wondering if they are purely cosmetic. Asking because I'm removing a factory roof rack so I don't have ditch molding.

Also, how much is a used factory roof rack going for these days? I'm sure someone wants these things, right?

Yeah. Even if you do keep it, use a good amount of silicone in the holes.

I ran into this exact issue when I had my Prinsu rack on my canopy. What I came up with was making some spacers to move the tent up. used 1in Delrin blocks. Worked well. But I think a better option is to use 2x2in tslot.
