Garages aren't for cars and trucks, they are for motorcycles, snowmobiles, fishing gear, bait tanks and tools.

 

That's why you get multiple stalls... I'm with Sloth, my next house needs to have a pole barn so ALL the toys can fit in there and I have a dry place to work on the truck.

 

Yeah...When I build the garage and barn are both going to be bigger than the house. Probably by a lot, lol.

 

Posted over in the off-road thread as well, but I know not everyone reads that: I have a friend who's asked me about making a run to the Eagle Lake trains this fall. He hasn't picked a weekend yet, but if I'm free I might join him. Would anyone else be interested in another trip up?

 

I only go there in the winter! WAY easier to get to.

This is why when we were looking at houses I brought a tape measure with me. At the time I had my Cummins 2500. If it didn't fit that then I wasn't interested. One house we looked at we went in through the garage. The door was too low and I told the agent, no thanks. Wife wasn't too happy...

 

For some reason I imagine that even with a huge pole barn and a 5 car garage I still wouldn't be able to fit a car in there... at least not a driveable car.

 

My dad told me if I want to get put of jury duty say, "my dad, a police officer for 25 years convinced me that if they were not guilty, they wouldn't be here at court."

At my girl's house, the garage seems to have the height clearance for my truck. My truck might be too long for the garage though. Her Rav4 fits with maybe a foot to spare.

I kinda follow this. Basically it's a Y between the stock reverse signal and the flasher signal?

 

Correct. The switch is meant to be a double pole, meaning it can control 2 things with the same flip of a switch. I'm bridging them. Usually, it's 2 inputs, 4 outputs, I reversed it so there are 2 inputs (the other 2 are capped off) and a single output. In the up position, your reverse lights work as normal, center is off, and the down position will power the flasher box.

One thing to note with that though, that flasher box has separate feeds to each tail light. I'm not sure how far back in your wiring harness you'll have to go to find the point where your reverse lights are a single wire.

I'm looking at 5 pole relays also, I think there's a way to make one of those work also with a simple switch.

I was trying to tap right before the wiring for the light, so I can have wig-wag and what not.
