Not good from my experience! I am looking to trade mine now but the dealer said all of the recalls and New Tacoma is getting bad reviews online so they are taking a nosedive on trade value. The dealer told me he doesn't want a tacoma with several recalls sitting on the lot too long so he would have to "blow it out" whatever that means

Where are you located? That seems like an excuse to me.

Also, the truck I am looking at does NOT have a tow package. Kind of a deal breaker.

Well after sleeping on it, and the dealer offering to install a tow hitch for $800, I decided to keep my truck. Assuming they gave me what i would like for trade, I was being reasonable at $30,500. The new truck would cost $35,254 out the door without a tow hitch. That's a large gap to cover for a manual and some interior goodies. Yes it would be nice to have a truck with 2 miles instead of 24,000. But at the end of the day I think it just makes more financial sense to keep mine for a few more years. So I washed mine and cleaned the interior, still smells new!

Great decision. I'd foot stomp that the Tow package is far from just a hitch. Do the research on the Factory added cooling system upgrades and other items that come with the tow package option. It would be nightmarish and expensive to install on a truck not equipped with the factory tow package to get it up to par.

Surprisingly there are a ton of 4WD OR Tacoma's for sale in Socal without hitches. Makes no sense.

For 2018 the V-6 Tacoma's come with the tow package standard. That should make things a lot easier.

All tacomas up here north of the border have tow package. Why have a truck without a tow package?
