i dont see why it wouldnt, it attaches via a few clips to the visor of the tent. I dont see myself setting mine up since it defeats the purpose of ease of setup imo.

I have my Sleeping bag in there too for those cold nights but I hate sleeping in mine. I tend to move a lot when I sleep and the bag just gets twisted.

Btw that bed slide is a nice addition I wouldn't mind adding one to my truck.

I'm sure it's been said before, but I haven't seen this specific combination yet, but specs/details tells me it can't be done.

3 person tent (2 humans, 3 dogs), so maybe 500-550lbs of total weight including the tent itself, on top of a non-reinforced (no internal skeleton) shell (specifically ARE V-series). The Yakima bars say 150-200lbs (I can't seem to confirm specifics on that), for 2 bars. What if I added more cross bars to distribute the weight more like a Prinsu rack system? I highly doubt the actual fiberglass shell can support this weight, right?

you would probably crack the fiber over time with that much weight on the shell. you can add more bars to distribute the weight but the same issue will come again with longevity. Might want to give one of the RTT specialist or the cap maker a call about your concerns

ARE is a pain to get in touch with directly. I may just go the easy route and have a local fab guy make up an internal crossbar/skeleton system and bolt it to the bed anchor points and be done with it.

remember not to connect the shell to the bed bolts. The shell is supposed to move/shift. If its tied in, then other things will crack or fail

The shell is on the bed rails as normal. Only the skeleton (think roll cage-ish) would mate up snug against the shell for weight distribution and load bearing and bolt into the anchor points.

I'm sure this has been discussed before but my cvt doesn't like to open all the way flat, so the ladder gets sucked closer to the truck when weight is lifted off of it. How do you guys handle this?

you can take a ratchet strap, connect it to the top rung of the ladder and then somewhere low on the truck. it will keep it from folding back on itself during windy conditions as well.
