I'm thinking about removing mine altogether instead of just shortening the fronts.

I bought my Taco Friday morning, and the flaps were off and in the trash Friday afternoon. My Buddy took them and cut them way down and asked me if I wanted them back. Off Off Off. Little nub looking flaps, I don't like em. I'll burn this place....

I took my front flaps off last week and put them on eBay. They sold for $120 for just the front pair!

I love the idea of taking at least my front flaps off because I really like the look. Though I'm concerned about debris flying and nicking up my paint...

Anybody have any noticeable issues with this??

No issues what so ever, even after 10,000 miles, several hundred of which were offroad.

I just wish I would have taken them off earlier. The damn things damaged my paint where they fit against the body.

I posted before (I think) that my fronts removed themselves but I still have the rears... I just picked up a spare set from a generous TW member. I'm gonna use my new dremel to cut them down to a reasonable size and throw them back on the truck. :woot:

Yeah, while the flaps were off I heard all kinds of pings and dings... It got really annoying. I cut the new flaps up last night and put them back on. Hopefully they're short enough to not get knocked off the next time I jump a curb, but long enough to protect the truck a little more.
