?

Are you running a swaybar?

  1. Yes, I'm not a heathen

  2. No, I have a complete disregard for the safety of others but DROOP!

  3. I have no idea....I'll ask the dealer to check when they top off my blinker fluid

It would be interesting to do some kind of blind test on some drivers to see if they could even tell the difference between having the swaybar installed or not. I bet most driving you couldnt tell the difference.

I know my buddies Jeep handles like a beanbag chair pull of poop with his bars unhooked.

It's sloppier than a $2 whore on dollar night

I was running without a swaybar, till I swerved to avoid a road hazard and I wound up tipping my truck over onto its side. Luckily it landed on a tree so body damage was limited to: rt door, rt qtr glass, rt rocker, rt outside mirror. I luckily found a used rt door in white for 150.00, replaced mirror and glass, then i got a front swaybar! I dont need the 'articulation' for my mild desert driving, plus its a nightmare in a panic situation on the street. Unless truck is OFF ROAD ONLY, you really should have one

I have mine on because I do lots of freeway driving 65-80mph and if I have to swerve someday I bet not having a swaybar would make handling....exciting. If I had a car for a daily driver and the taco was just for fun, Id remove it.

So according to your calculations, the sway bar would have prevented this accident?

For those that have removed your swaybar, does anyone want to mail me their end links if they're in good condition? Mine are ripped to hell on my 05 and I want to replace them before I put it back on.

Pulled mine off maybe 6 weeks ago. 6" DB lift with bilstein 5100s. Normal road driving, it's barely noticable. Once you start hitting turns sharper and faster, she body rolls like a trophy truck. Scary at first then you remember to chill on the turns. Front end bump sensitivity is dramatically improved. I used to be able to feel the transition on speed bumps near my crib. Now the same transitions feel like I have a low tire. Smooth.

I usually drive pretty easy on road, so I actually prefer no sway bar since the off-road ride is much smoother. As you can imagine, flex is improved as well. Would love to get a set of real shocks/struts on here and see how body roll is. Another thing worth mentioning, I'm on the stock sport springs with enough preload to hit 6" lift. Bottoming out is rather easy.

My daily driver 2013 Access cab sport I would like to hear if anyone here has installed a rear sway bar on their daily driver. My previous 4x4 Ranger had one and I noticed that without one the Access cab ha quite a bit of lean on the switch backs here in New England -- Remember the roads here followed where the cattle walked in the old days so we have switch backs.
Helwig makes a aftermarket rear sway bar so im looking for any suggestions /feedback
    Thanks

I run a 2+ Long travel kit so the sway bar isnt an option. With the wider front stance and rear spacers its realllllly close to stock with the sway bar. With the RTT and gear on the roof the roll is a little more noticeable but still not as bad as the few times I took the bar off with stock length suspension.

I put mine in a box in the garage. Box is stable and hasn't fallen off the basket ball I placed it on.

Any plans for it? I need new sway bar end links since mine are shot.
