I did this to my truck yesterday. Black Plastdip and Satin Paprika Rustoleum. Pretty happy with the way it turned out. Couldn't justify spending $400 on a new grille. This cost less than $10 but labor was half a day. Shout out to those I copied in an earlier post to get the right color Rustoleum to match the paint.IMG_3501.jpg

Great job! I'm definitely going to try plasti dipping my grill first before I pony up for a new mesh version.

Very nice ! Think I'll try the same thing. I to cannot justify that much for a grill :).

I had another question. Did you paint anything behind the grill so that it disappears more?

Check CL for SR grilles too. That's where I found mine and traded that nasty silver thing at!

Careful with the clips. They can break easily. Just plastic like the rest of the grille. Biggest problem I had was finding which clips to remove first. 8 clips to remove the outer frame (seated lower) then the rest come off. I've watched videos of people "easily" removing the clips with their hands. I did not have that luxury. I used a flat head screwdriver to assist with moving the clips. But don't force the flat head just give a gentle push to assist with it and push them through. Once u get it going it gets easier. Good luck.

I did not paint behind the grille. It's not needed as it coats the front very well. You can't see any chrome from the front.

Looks great, I plastidipped my grill and have the same TRD logo. But I did the logo in black plastidip, and thought the glossifier might make it stand out a bit (did the same with the Toyota logo), but it kind of gets lost. And I like the way you did the orange.

Did you get the paprika rustoleum in a local store to you, or order? I see it's on Amazon, but curious if I should take the time to hunt locally.
