Happy Monday - vaca this week for me.

As of right now it's looking like my HomerTaco grille is being delivered tomorrow!

 

So, Alaska was awesome!!! Waiting for my 6 hour layover in Sea-Tac and going straight to work the day I get home....

 

Well that's freaking epic I'd really love to make it up there one day

 

Totally worth it! I want to go back and backpack the Denali park now.

Got the grille!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put the box in the truck, since I had it shipped to my job. Now I have to remove it from the surround it came with, then do the same to mine, and pop it back on.

 

Ok, it's been an hour and a half. Where's the photos of it installed?!

 

I wish man! I'm itching for it. I didn't bring any kind of tools in the truck to tackle it during lunch. EPIC FAIL right there.

Let the swapping process begin... As soon as the kids are asleep of course. You all know how I roll.

Already pulled the Pro grille off the truck before dinner. Now just have to unclip it from the surround, do the same to the HomerTaco one, swap, and put back on the truck.

 

Alright fellers, it's done.

Swapped the HomerTaco special from the white surround it came with (purchased from @Ulysiss), to my color matched black one.



Removed the Pro insert, removed the HomerTaco insert, and did the swap. Pretty straight forward. Unclipping the inserts is a bitch, because of those tabs (those of you that have a 12-15 and/or have done it know what I'm talking about). The only extra thing I had to do was break off a few tabs from my surround, due to how HomerTaco creates his inserts, but NO BIGGIE. The insert still holds very well in place with all the remaining hard tabs and screws.

Since it's already almost bed time, will take a pic of the truck with it on tomorrow, and will post it up so you can all see what it looks like, and give me your input/feedback on whether or not you think I should paint the TRD letters black, to "murder it out".

 

Put my Tacoma to it's first journey this weekend past. Had to borrow it back from the mechanic - he did diagnostics last week, returned it Monday for repairs this week. Wrong Cat's on it, dead vapor canister as expected + some sundry things.

Got me a roof top tent! Haven't even opened it yet, or have a rack for it, & gave back the truck to the mechanic.... Anticipation!
