Do you mean double cab long bed? Be cause the DCSB is the exact same length as the AC. At any rate, with my DCLB you gotta be aware of your rear wheels a bit more when turning but overall it's really easy to drive. Love having a full 6 ft bed. Wouldn't have it any other way.

i've never drove a SB so i don't know. if it requires anymore "skill," its probably very subtle.

I voted no. I own the DCLB and it's not that big of a deal. Then again I'm coming from full size 3/4t trucks. So for me, it doesn't take much skill to drive this truck.

About as much skill as jumping from a compact car to full size sedan. Not much difference if you've driven a variety of vehicles.

I voted yes because short beds are stubby little bastards, and long beds are awesome.

yes, I wouldnt call it skill, but yeah, its longer. had a 2014 DCLB peerunna, and now in an access cab. more curbs hit in the DCLB for sure.

    Confirmed.
Source: I own a long bed and do get laid all the time.

I wouldn't call it more "skill" rather than just remember it's a tad bit longer on the wheel base. Obviously it's nothing like a full side or super duty truck.

The DCLB is still shorter than many popular half ton configurations, and a little more narrow. Very easy to drive even in the city.

Yes. It takes an extreme amount of skill to guide that longer truck. It's like comparing driving a bicycle to driving a space shuttle. You need significant training or extreme natural abilities to drive a DCLB Tacoma around. The DCSB is for plebeians.

not really, unless maybe you're off-roading on tighter u-turns on switchbacks and "pointier" tops of mounds where your drivetrain may touch the ground

Skill to drive? No. Skill to park? Perhaps.

@smitty99 has no skillz :) Doesn't take skillz to park a DCLB, just put the daym thing in the parking stall. If you can't there is always a magnet that says "Student Driver".
