should i buy all 4 5100's?...I mean i just want a simple lift that will level out my taco...thinkin 1.75 with the 5100's in the front... if i just want to level out my taco i dont need to buy the rear billies, and just go with the fronts and save myself the money right?...i mean isn't the stock rear the same height as the rear 5100's?

the rear is 1.5'' above the front to begin with if im not mistaken. so the front would be jsut a bit taller. but if money permits you might as well go for the gold and get all 4

    You have a regular cab?

    Here's something to try....

See if you can find someone with a set of used V6 double cab coils springs.

From what I remember on the 1st gen trucks - the V6 double cab coils spring would give the regular cab guys 1"+ lift.

    Just a thought.....and a lot cheaper too.

i'd get all 4, i just got the ones in the front this past summer which i am very happy with but i had to put them at 2.5" to get it totally level since they sag a little over time, but the ride is so good i plan on getting the ones for the back to just for comfort purposes really....do yourself a favor and save up for all 4

The rear shocks dont give any lift..... they just allow a little more travel if you were to add an add a leaf.
