Also speaking of how expensive options are, my reroute was $80. I got 3 other guys to agree to go and get it done at the same place with me and he took off $15 off of all of our work

Will the cat-less reroutes pass inspection?

Surprising, I know. Most of us ride around on horses, so if we do a mod that won't pass inspection, we're good.

Looking at the picture again there's a stand underneath the exhaust so that picture is of an in-work reroute so it hadn't been welded yet.

The rear cats are not monitored by the ECU and O2 sensors so there will be no difference in terms of inspection in Texas if you remove/delete them.

From what I've seen in 2 Texas inspections they only care about passing a computer check via OBDII, but my experience is limited to Tarrant.
The DPS website does say to visually check for catalytic converter.

Then yours will be cheap, might save enough to get a T-Case.

That's mostly for the front monitored cats. Some tunes or O2 spacers can mimic the cat system being "ready" status via OBD2 and removes the CEL/MIL light. I have yet to had a visual inspection of the components in 15 years of driving.

Took me a minute to figure out what all the fuss was about... They don't do the emissions stuff out here in Wichita County. You pretty much just can't have the exhaust leaking into the cab, that's all they care about
