He did. But he was more concerned with playing with the chipmunk.

@Crom Where did you find the window shades for your cap? Or was this something you came up with yourself?

I've been following Brian (Colorado Backcountry Adventures) on YouTube for a while now. This is a recent video where he talks about what gear he uses for full-time Summer truck camping. Two things I'm searching for now are an axe, and one of these military shovels.

You guys strategically put Jeff on the end in case you needed a Toyota-only photo?

    Brilliant! ;)

That's a great video. If you're shopping for a military shovel the tri-fold E-tool is quite useful. Make sure you get the all metal style. They are bit heavy for backpacking but for truck camping it is perfect. I was surprised he mentioned using as a seat. My DI's taught me that but not all my friends in the military were taught that usage. I primarily use mine as a seat while filling my cathole. Thanks for sharing the video, he's got a lot of useful knowledge.

I was taught how to dig weeds out along sidewalks with it.. I hate those shovels and I think most enlisted military can agree. Stupid area beautification haha

    LOL
Don't worry I raked sand and painted rocks in 29 Palms.
For simple camping use the e-tool works for me.

Another good reason I was in the Navy. Ships don't have sidewalks.
