Do what you have to do to be happy, the money will work it's way out . you can always make more. I was At the end of my rope and sold my 17 and I could not be happier. Maybe that's extreme idk. took a small loss , but for me and my situation it worked perfect. Good luck

Unless you NEED a truck, if you want to stick with Yota I suggest going out and getting a 4Runner before they ruin those too with this shitty 3.5L motor

Show these pics to service advisor this morning and he says, "Yeah its leaking". 2 hours later, "We called Toyota Corp, truck is not part of recall, so its not leaking. Its grease stains". Tech just happens to walk up and gets into conversation, "Its not dripping, so its not leaking". Yesterday I ask, "How many trucks do you have sitting on lot with same problem". Service advisor says "7". Today I ask him to walk back and lets compare my truck to the ones on the lots with the diff leak. He says, "uh...we don't have any on the lot to look at"....but last night he said they had 7....what a fucking game. The dealer is Karl Malone Toyota in Utah for what its worth.

Cleaning it up and will watch it...

Yeah. Stains from a leak. If liquid is finding its way OUT of the container that is designed to "HOLD" it, we usually refer to that as a LEAK in the English language.

Seeping, Weeping, whatever you want to call it....it is a leak and should not be considered acceptable.

I just went outside to wash my truck and stuck my head under the truck and sure enough mine is leaking around the flange too, it's an Off Road so it's not part of the recall but that has to fall under warranty

Looks very similar to mine, a new truck should not be leaking anything.

Do we think Toyota will eventually add the TRD off-road trucks with the new 8.7" rear axle to the recall list?

That is just how they get you to quiet down on Facebook. Call us, wait on hold for 20 minutes, then we'll promise to call you back in 3 or 4 days (but they won't until you call them and hassle them again)

Yeah man I went through the ringer with Corporate back when you could still squeeze a Factory extended "Platinum" 125k mi/8 year Bumper to Bumper warranty out of them for repeat and recurring issues. This was over a year ago however.

How do these people sleep at night?

I would never treat my customers this way. What a disgrace.

Stupidity, greed and arrogance is the main cause of all recalls. This is what took down GM.They would be gone today but Congress caved and bailed them out when the CEO flew into DC on his corporate jet begging for a taxpayer bailout.

My appointment went as expected today.

"Keep any eye on it, you still have plenty of warranty remaining if it worsens. "

I simply said, "I will not be back to service my truck here. Thanks for wasting my time ..."

Wish it was that easy and going to the next Toyota dealer down the street was a fix. I called 3 different dealers in town before I decided which one to take my truck into. The one I took was the one that had the best responses on the phone...but I guess that didn't work out....

I don't think engine in my truck is like yours from sound of things. Besides a motor is a generator or as such. An engine runs of a fuel or gas of some kind.
