After many trips and after calling in backup and going to the manager i finally got them to agree to do the TSB.

After i got them to agree everything went smoothly though...so far anyways, knock on wood

I took mine in yesterday to Rockingham Toyota in Salem NH. and they ordered the parts for me without a problem after I explained that it looked like the truck was going to bottom out when I hauled my 2 quads.

Brought it in for the transmission lag TSB. Got that done. Told them that it seemed to be bottoming when I carried a load of tile. They found the TSB for that, ordered the parts, installed four spring kit and aligned one week later today. No hassles. Great customer service.

Toyota of Orange in CA. The service adviser's name was Patrick. He owns a '05 Tacoma and had the suspension work done on his own truck so he's well aware of the TSB. No hassle and my truck was ready in 4 hours.

Toyota of Plano, TX will be doing mine tomorrow - parts ordered.

I called the Toyota 800 number and had them log my issue and got a reference number for that issue and they also mentioned the TSB-0305-08 so that's what I told the service advisor. No hassle. I'll update this post w/results.

Edit 3/10/2010: Just got back with the truck and 4 new shocks and new springs. The ride is firmer just a bit. However, yesterday before I took the truck to the dealer, I got on the rear bumper and jumped up and down.. very spongy and lots of movement..... Did it again just now and it moves very little, no bouncing... just absorbs the forces... haven't loaded the bed yet but I'm happy.

Update:3/24/2010: Last week had the truck towed back to the dealership - they used an impact wrench on the components and a bolt was sheared off the lower control arm - not pretty... it's back now and drives fine but will not return to this dealership for any reason.

    Lithia Toyota in Redding, CA.

first time they preformed one on a 09+, at first they tried to deny me the service because it says 09-10 non-trd on the first page, but once i pointed out where it says non-trd and trd on the second page they were more then willing to do it.

The asshole answer would be 'if it is out of specification.' Seriously though, I would bring it back and show them where the TSB states it an alignment should be done. Or call the 800 number and ask why it wasn't done when it clearly states it should be done.

My dealer tried to play the alignment off as they were doing me a favor calling it "complimentary."

Done last week, I emailed the PDF of the TSB, told them that I was hitting the bump stops with a lot of weight in the back, that it looks like this TSB is applicable, and to please schedule an appointment to have the repair completed.

I got a response the next day, the parts were already in stock, I brought it in in the morning, picked it up in the afternoon. Looks like they did it right - no problems. Not sure if they did the alignment.

I didn't have any problems, and they never argued with me. They even inspected my front drive-shaft for the recall, and ordered a new one. That gets installed tomorrow.

Ira Toyota of Danvers, MA. Called service manager this past Friday afternoon w/tsb #/revision 2 info. He said give him a bit and he'd be back to me. Called Monday midday. Said no inspection needed, drop truck of as soon as I can and he'd have it done within a day. Stuck to his word. Picked it up yesterday. I've got nothing but good things to say about this experience. My truck had 500 miles on it when i brought it in and hadn't seen any sort of load in the bed yet. Maybe 1", or so, higher in back, a bit stiffer ride, but definitely seems like it could take the payload better.

Well I'm getting turds from them to get mine done!! I just had to get nasty for them to even talk about the TSB, much less putting it on.

I'll calls service manager by end of business to find out if he order my parts.

I am out of Warranty, have any of you had a dealer perform the TSB without the warranty for free?
