Hows the ride quality over the factory? I hate the way the rear end feels in with with the Wheeler AAL, the TSB pack with the Overload removed. Still feels jittery to me. When I was doing some maintenance on my fathers Tundra, the rear rode so much smoother it made me mad! My next upgrade is to replace the rear springs entirely with the OME Dakar or Deavers

I have deavers on mine although Im SUA with the shock relocation. Are you looking to get much lift with your rear? I think the dakars might yield an inch more in ride height over the deavers depending on the set up. Since I am somewhat close I could come by sometime and you could see what I got since I will be in Frederick this weekend to meet up with a buddy.

Right now the rear is an Icon add a leaf to keep it level with the front. After I finish the front I will start working on a bed cage and trailing arms for the rear.

That is a sweet trailer. How did the price compare to comparable brands? Hoping to get one myself.

I have looked at all sorts of different companies and vendors for an off road trailer. Most of what I was finding was just a tub (not even enclosed) running about $5000 to $8000 dollars, some of the enclosed off road trailers were running between $8000 and $10,000. The Smittybilt (full kit) is $6000 for a totally enclosed trailer, lockable slides in each compartment and all compartments are lockable. The partial kit (does not include tires and wheels) runs about $4500 to $5000 dollars. I went through 4 Wheel Parts and used my military discount, plus the assistant manager was giving me any other discounts he could. I decided to include the Smittybilt 2 man Roof Top Tent and 6'X6' awning when I bought the trailer. When they started totaling everything together (sales tax, shipping, and assembly) I was looking at close to $13,000 dollars. With my military discount and all the other discounts the assistant manager was able to get for me, I paid $8200 dollars. So not to bad. I already have a couple of camping trips planned in NoCal and SoCal this month. Super stoked to get it out and even take it on some off road trails. If you look at the Smittybilt website and actually read all the things the trailer has to offer, it is a good deal and a well built trailer. Already planning to set up a solar panel, ARB or Smittybilt fridge, deep cycle battery, mounts for water tanks, and mounts for extra fuel cans too.

No spacers or AAL and no problem/rubbing with the 285s? I might have to do this with my pro

Just an update on mine...might be losing its "baja" status although I'm trying to get a second set of decals created.

So I plan on ordering this stuff this week for my 15' pro. Anybody disagree or would add items? I plan in the near future running 33s. Im not to sure if I'm a big fan of modding the pro suspension. I would like to keep this truck until the wheels fall off.

By winter I plan on getting a ARE topper and probably a extra 2-300 pounds when traveling, and possibly pelfreybilt front bumper. I have been extremely indecisive on the suspension ( going way with kings 3" or this alternative route.)

I love this truck! I didn't change anything from stock with the exception that I removed the mud flaps. I'v got tired of loosing them off road.

I agree with this man...I know a few who got the Icon stage kit that includes the AAL and most of them eventually sell it as it just doesn't have a good feel or does the job as well as a new pack. Why not spend a couple hundred more and just get Dakars? They do the job quite well for many on here.

I agree with the above. I used a half inch top plate spacer up front, and had the Wheeler's 3 leaf in the back. I also have the Camburg BJ uppers. I recently switched to the Dakars in the back, and should have done that to begin with. Here's how it sits now.

Where did you buy the 1/2" spacers? Looking to level out my 2013 BAJA.

Figured so man, is it really stiff or anything? Curious what you don't like about it.

I installed the wheelers 3 leaf ad a leaf with a set of newer oem leaf packs that weren't shot like mine and gained 1.75 lift in the rear over stock height. I also have firestone airbags on back with daystar cradles. I think it just comes down to how much weight you have on your truck. Guys with rtt's, bed racks, steel rear bumpers, etc... Will have less life and lift with just an add a leaf setup. I tow a 14' utility trailer and haul stuff in my bed pretty often and haven't had any issues but I dont wheel my truck though, atleast not that hard and only once or twice a year.

    Good looking truck!

Did you get any vibrations when adding the Dakars? Also, your rear HC Relentless what was involved on having it hinged on the left?
