I am looking to head out of town to a dark sky location to enjoy this meteor shower. If anyone wants to join just say so in this thread. I haven't nailed down a location yet but anywhere where we can get away from city glow is good with me. Up north around Flagstaff, down south outside of Tucson, all are good options for me. If you've got a good idea of where to go suggest it. I'm planning on staying Friday and Saturday night. Here's some good reading about the event.

Btw if you're staying there Saturday night as well, I would definitely recommend you doing this Sunday while you're up North.

We took my son there when he was in cub scouts. It's awesome!
I have to work on Sunday so after we wake up I need to head back to town.

If my kiddos are both feeling healthy enough, we will try to make the lava tubes run Sunday.

I didn't make It out camping because I trusted the weather man too much. Forecasted rain all weekend and there wasn't a damn cloud in the sky until about 4am. So I went out to bulldog and enjoyed it. Even with the moon out you could still see the good ones. Probably about 20 an hour maybe a bit more. I'll be going back there again tonight. So if anyone wants to go let me know.
