After looking it goes by both names. But, it still doesn't change anything.

Technically, there is no difference between an engine and a motor. However, by common usage the term 'engine' is usually applied to heat engines (e.g. internal combustion engines, steam engines, etc.) whereas the term 'motor' is more-widely applied to electric machines.

Google it this just one response.

Got her back today, they replaced the front of the carrier not the whole axle. Feels really tight in the rear end, like it needs to be broken in. Not sure, but seems like ect has been affected. The truck is not Very peppy or jerky when ect mode as it was before. Just seemed like there was more boost with ect on before I took it in. I have pushed the button several times on and off and couldn't feel the difference like I could before. I will Also be keeping a eye on acceleration. I started off from a traffic light for the freeeway, as the truck began to switch between 3rd and 4th it fell flat at 4000 rpms (60mph) and had what seemed like a hard time deciding what to do... downshift or upshift. I let off the gas and it then up shifted to 4th. Minor hiccup and i will try to replicate. Happy with the outcome so far. Had a feeling they were going to replace the housing because mine was showing signs of complete separation at the top of the pumpkin. Thanks again Toyota.

hahah, every time I mention a clearly wide spread issue
I get the same thing - "Really, we know nothing of that". Hard to believe anyone
in the service dept. can keep a job, they all claim to know nothing
about the current status of the vehicles they service.

    See build page.
The 2 vehicles I wanted to go into was a 17 Tundra and 17 4runner. Since we just bought my fiance a 2017 rav4, Im aiming for the tundra. Ive always wanted a tundra and after careful consideration of what this replacement vehicle would be used for, I decided I need a truck and a truck with a bit more cabin space would help alot. I was afraid to mention the word "Tundra" because some people here are savages. lol.

Maybe not to you but to others they appeal... Right now I'm wishing I had bought one over the Tacoma.

I'm preparing to bring mine in. Although my vehicle's VIN is not on the recall, there is definitely some leakage. This has been the second time I brought it to their attention so I'm preparing to be without my baby for quite some time. How long did you actually have to wait to get yours back?

I took it in July 3rd, got it back yesterday. 38 days
Every dealer will be different so don't use me as a time line. The same dealer may be longer for some trucks/ customers

Dropped mine of 28 days ago for the 15k mile service and was told I had a leak. Now it just sits there with no projection on a fix date. I filed a complaint with Toyota. Outside of that not much more I can do but wait I guess...and drive my loaner Highlander.
