The place off Amazon I ordered from threw in a 32gb micro sd, landing extensions, gimbal stabilizer or whatever for storage, and the gimbal "skid plate" for free. So that was cool.
I might go with the bag that @TK-422 posted. They have the same one on amazon for $25.

Just type in Mavic Tutorial and it will bring up a bunch of good videos to watch. DJI also puts out short tutorials which are good to watch. I would also recommend joining the DJI forums (the Mavic subsection to be precise) as there is a bunch of good information from other flyers. I've learned more from other people's experience and advice on the DJI forums than any place else honestly.

No more forums. TW has already consumed most of my life  I'll check them all out though. Hoping to be able to put some of the functions to use this weekend

I know what you mean about the forums lol. I'm not super active on DJI's forums but I do provide input from time to time. I lurk more than anything and learn from others. It also allowed me to sell my Inspire 1 easily.

Didn't try out tripod mode yet. But I did try out the Follow Me and Active Track, and Tap to Fly. Both are so fricken cool! Can't wait take it out this weekend in the desert!

I personally love tripod mode and use it quite often.

I think the follow me is probably better since it just is keeping up with the controller where as active track is trying to keep the target locked. I flew it up to about 100 feet and walked maybe a quarter mile, it kept track of me the whole time with the exception of once when I went under a tree, but it found me right after. We'll see how it works this weekend. Either way I'm loving this thing so far.

Ya makes sense. I think I saw on there the max speed under follow me/active track was only 30mph. It'd be pretty cool if you're doing some technical stuff with a big open space to have it hover nearby. Maybe it'd work better in that application?

Do you use a cover or the sun shade or anything over the gimbal?

@RearViewMirror you edit a lot of video, like myself, so you know how time consuming some of it is. A real estate agent wants me to shoot a 2-2:30 min video of a 10 acre farm about 40 minutes away. What do you think a good going rate would be to charge? I don't want to over charge, so i can get more. However, I don't want to do it for nothing, since I have enough gigs that i film doing weddings and junk.

That really depends if you have your license or not. If you haven't completed the licensing process you can not make money with your drone. If you have completed it then I think Blacout14 hit it pretty close. $500 for your time, the use of your drone, the amount of time it will take you to get the video footage, and post processing. Tough 40 acres is pretty large so even a little more would be justified. Just remember if you don't have your license and they file it on taxes as a deduction you could face some serious penalties.

Good thing I suck at video editing and won't ever have to worry about getting one of those

One way to (I suppose) to get around that is to take all your photo equipment and take some pictures of the house and property. Take your drone as a secondary camera and use it for your aerial shots. Now... that said... it's illegal as hell to do that but if they do put it on their taxes you could have the receipt billed for photos as normal. Not a chance I would be willing to take but it's an option I suppose.

Here is the link for the license. If IIRC the fine is $27,000 if you don't have the license.

Hot damn that's a hefty fine. Are we all supposed to have the license to fly these or just if we're using it to make money?
