I guess if you plan on peeling it off, you wouldn't go wrong with either plasti or this rust oleum peel. If you don't need to peel it up later but still like the texture, I just used both rust oleum standard under coating and rust oleum premium undercoating, I can 100% suggest the premium version, it drys nice and fast and does cut down on noise of things hitting the metal I sprayed it on. (aka noise deadening) I cannot suggest the standard version, it takes forever to dry and even "dry" it feels very sticky.

Plastidip has 50 or so colors, I don't think rust has more than 5 or 6.

plasti dip, because less material needed to give thick coats. Thick coats are needed to properly, and easily, remove. Trust me on that.

I just recently used plasti on my front bumper cover and grill area. Did 3 coats and honestly it looked pretty good. No peeling or nothing as of yet. Saw the rusto stuff but wasn't sure bout it myself.

^^^ I agree. I like the rugged coat because of the "rugged" look. The Plasti Dip is really just too smooth for what I want.

For the final coat hold the can back further, you'll get a rougher texture. It works for paint as well. I just finished with some "satin" paint, came out as a gloss. 2 feet away and shooting basically over spray coat, looks great. Glossy with a texture.
