you think 5 bolts will make it indestructible? Plz

you've apparently not seen accident videos or the damage a 5mph accident can cause to vehicles.

of course YOU dont worry about it, you feel 5 bolts is indestructible.

Mine is laying flat across the back secured with 2 bolts. No it's not much better but I feel if I get rear ended it'll hit the back seats unless I flip.
But then I have a 20lb co2 tank floating around so I'm dead any way. Sometimes you can't win.

I'm actually trying to figure mine out right now. I used to have it bolted down in back on top of the 3rd row seats, but right now I don't have it in the truck.

I was thinking somehow mounting it to my rear bumper on a swing arm. I basically only carry it when I need it. Not a permanent fixture. Finding a way to secure it in back down low would be ideal.

Also this will be finished with bedliner I think. So it won't be so ugly. Slides are going in this month too.

its angled directly at the driver. What do you expect to happen with excessive force and rebound of energy.

My hi-lift is bolted to the floor panel as well as strapped down and the ends are held down by my cargo box and hard mounted sub box. i can barely remove it by hand, i have no fears of it giving me a labotomy in a small traffic accident.

    tone down your massengill-ness.

My hi-lift is un-bolted and not strapped in the back. I'm still alive. And will probably mount it so that it may or may not be headed towards my head in an accident. Don't tell my mother.

I worry more about Lindsay. I'd rather die than have something stupid I did kill/hurt her. Almost flipping the rig with @dtaco06 that one time made me feel really shitty.

Civil engineering. So far from it :D

Just landed in Madrid from Paris. Sitting on the metro to our hostel. That's still to come tonight. Pub crawl. @4x4runner2002 can attest to some of this :anonymous:
