Do yall have any first hand experience with Esab stuff? Last time I was at a weldinsupply store, the guys shit talked Esab gear and said everything they have is made in China. I've never met anyone who has used it first hand tho

 

I have not nor do I know anyone that has. Esab is advertising the fuck out of their shit currently. See if they are going to be at a welding supply in the area and take one for a test spin. My supplier does not carry them, so take that for what it's worth.

I've not used their equipment so I have no say in it. I've been using their wire for years and habe nothing but good things to say about it. We thought about picking up their Rebel which is a small, portable multi-voltage MIG machine but ended up going with a Lincoln because we got a killer deal on it.

@Mobtown Offroad @stairgod - Just for my learn'n. Did he put gobs of welding material to bridge large gaps because his tubing was not long enough?

 

Knowing a dentist didn't help him much...

 

I have absolutely no clue why that was done that way, although I can theorize that the fit up was less than stellar, followed by welding that can be best described as random movements with the trigger pressed
