What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Put some Hellwig helper springs on. 979s. Will probably have to adjust a bit over the next week or two.

Now my rear suspension has 4 brands of "stuff" on it. OEM 2+1 paper thin leaf springs, toytec single AAL, sumo springs (the black ones), and now the Hellwig helper springs. I put the AAL on it in 2009 because the OEM springs were shit, added the Sumo Springs last year, but they are just like an extended bumpstop, and stuck the Hellwigs on there now to help with a 1K mile move with a whole bunch of junk in the bed and a uhaul 6x12.

I've had my truck since
4/10-ish/17 and put 7200+ miles. Today I
Changed oil, filter and air filter and cleaned MAF and throttle body. Reset Maint Reqd light.

Thanks to Toyota for making it fairly simple for a guy with very basic tools, and the great info here on TW. I didn't say F*^k once!

That Nissan dealership I bought it from, offering lifetime free oil changes will never see this truck again. I'd much rather buy my oem filter and do it myself.

 

W.A. State Naches trail run and this truck didn't skip a beat !!! best truck i could ever buy hands down $ replaced the cv shafts and upper ball joints nothing wrong with them just thought 211k miles its about time....

@ericd what you brought it to a shop and they spray under it with a rustoleum spray or did you spray it yourself? If so what did you use?

 

Well you got be beat haha, worked a lot for those wheels and i earned them, especially considering i dont have a job
