When I was stationed at Eielson AFB MOC worked 12's - work FSS, off MT, work WT, off FSS, work MT, you get the idea. They worked 30 out of 60 days and the COMPLAINED, so they went to 5 - 8's would have loved that schedule

 

Ah, Panamas...best, and fairest, schedule ever for a 24/7 operation. I put every work center I ran (well, two at Mildenhall and the one here) on that schedule whenever possible. Our manning was so fat my first year at Mildenhall, we worked that schedule on 8s...until they cut 3 controllers from our manning doc. I never understood people that balked at that schedule.

EDIT: BS manager/lawyer types always wanted to argue the "only work half the month line" ... I called it the equivalent of shift differential pay.

 

So do I. But I guess changing my schedule really wouldn't change too much. The work is still there, the hours I'd actually put in would be the same. 100+ hours is 100+ hours.

 

Now that's interesting. Let me see how the math works.

 

...but part of the problem is, things happen all the time and the areas take on a life of their own. Scheduling tasks doesn't seem to work. Another full time employee is really the answer but that ain't going to happen.

 

I'm thinking of tinting mine as I've got factory window tint and want it darker

 

From the early 90's until 2000 I followed the IHBA Drag boat series and NJBA Drag boats either Chowchilla reservoir , Lake Ming , Puddingstone reservoir and Firebird lake
