I just requested the hinge on the driver's side when I ordered. No vibrations with 3° shims. I have the original Dakars with the OME AAL and one overload spring removed.

Ride quality. I hit a small bump and the whole bed bounces. I know its partly since the rear ends of our trucks are so light to begin with, but I just dont like the ride quality.

Its like riding in my Subaru when it had cheap coilovers vs my wife's GTI. Now I have good coilovers and even though its not smooth, you can feel it has a better ride quality.

Your truck looks awesome!I actually might go with the Dakars. Do you think there is a lot of stress/wear on the stock pro suspension front and back with the extra lift? Did you have to get longer U bolts?

Doesn't seem to be any added stress. I just did a 10,000 mile road trip with this setup, and it was a great ride. I did a u-bolt flip at the same time I did the springs and shims.

Yea that is a good point. I have HD springs in my rear and so I need ALOT of weight in my bed. Because of this, I have an RTT on my bed not only for function, but weight too! Have you tried loading up your rear with stuff?

Ditched the TRD exhaust....with the blower its pushing too much for that 2&1/2" exhaust. I upgraded to the URD Mark lll exhaust because it's 3". From the block, I'm running Doug Thorley shorty headers to a URD y-pipe (3") to the URD Mark lll 3" exhaust. Now with the added 2.825 URD pulley you can see in the last pick its pushing even more hp. .......sounds loud and wicked!

Thanks man.....it's a lot of fun for sure. There's nothing like getting on it next to someone that thinks they are fast and then see the look of shear shock on their face when they hear my trucks whine from the s/c as I blast by them. :burnrubber:

The supercharger is on my list. I could throw it on the Amex but I'm not irresponsible. Very often.

Its a money pit for sure. There is a lot more to add on then just the S/C + Install

Its also really hard to see the T/X Baja sticker on the back on a black truck. But easier when its dirty for wheeling and the sun is reflecting off it.

When I was buying mine there were 2 left in Texas. There was the red one in Houston and a black one in San Antonio. I went with the red one. Now if they made the black Baja with lime green graphics I would've been all over it.

When I got mine I didn't even know what the package was. I just new it was the only one I could find that had all the other features I wanted in a color I could live with. It also sat on the lot for several weeks before I decided to purchase it.

Though I won't be doing black again.

For those wondering how the TRD Pro sits on its stock suspension with Icon 3 leaf add-a-leaf set in the rear with overload spring removed. The truck has a slight rake with nothing in the bed. I was just looking to gain a little rake to avoid substantial bro-lean with gear loaded up in the bed. I don't tow or "haul" anything so this was a cheap solution for me. Maybe once this leaf set wears out, I will replace with full leaf pack but the 3 leaf has performed great and rides well (for a Tacoma). When I load the truck up with 2 adults, 2 70lb dogs, and ~250lbs of gear, the truck sits about level and rides great. I will say that if I planned on running a hard camper shell or bed rack with permanent tent, I would probably opt for a full leaf pack for the extra load carrying capability.
