Looks like I'll have one leaf spring today. How they both showed up in Shrewsbury at the same minute, but how one made it out this way to be out for delivery this morning and the other mysteriously went to South Deerfield is beyond me. Was probably going to swap them tomorrow anyway.

Probably won't have my u-bolts until tomorrow, anyway. USPS says today but I'm not confident because the last status still said Oregon two days ago.

But a report will have a date .... this is a year old, why haven't you replaced it yet?
Better still do the "`WHAAAT?" Then he gives you a ticket for the plate instead of the speed issue. (ahem)

If it's coming regular service it's probably in a tractor trailer or train - there won't be any scans/updates until that container is unloaded, so a couple days later. If they miss one scan along the way, often no further scans will show when tracking it - a software glitch. Good Luck. 1 more day before it's too late for this weekend.

You don't need to replace it - that requires getting a new registration & tags. The report is that it's missing and you know it - satisfies joe uber-cop wanting to make a mountain out of a missing plate because it looks good on his record.

    YMMV

The lift law is fine you don't need to be higher to wheel and I'd rather not have a mall crawler roll over on me

Lol it's changed a few times. It's right now 27"to the bottom of your door if I remember right. I was exactly at that with my 33x12.5's on and my old front suspenion. Now I have 35x12.5's and different front setup. Plus I hear next year they are going to cameras for more than just facial recognition so we shall see if it will even pass once cameras are everywhere

It left Oregon on Tuesday. Hoping for tomorrow, but Saturday would work too and I could get it done Sunday.

Really hoping neither UPS or USPS pushes anything out into next week.

Tint laws here actually aren't as bad as other places I've lived. I have 'legal' tint on my Ferd and it's darker than I could get away with in NY when I lived there.
Can't beat BAMF, they make nice stuff. $140ish for a light bar isn't bad in my opinion unless you want to fab one up on your own.
You're getting General Springs, right? Did your last ones flatten out or sag over their life span? I'm considering getting a set and am looking at General or SD Springs. I'm toying with putting some stronger springs in the back of the Ferd and don't want air bags.

I ordered these from SD Springs, but they are General Springs. SD is just a reseller.

They didn't significantly. I don't remember my initial measurements once they settled, but I lifted my front end 2" over stock and the back end is still an inch higher than the front after 3 years. If I remember correctly, they were ridiculously high when I first put them on but they settled pretty quickly.

I've been happy with them. The ride is great, they handle a load well, and I figure my broken spring is either a fluke or caused by road salt or graphite.

Tint laws are bad in NH. I got stopped when I first moved to NH and my Jetta had what was legal tint in MA on the front door windows. Bedford NH cop told me I could either peel it off right there while he waited or he could call the wrecker and impound the car, my choice. It was professionally installed so it was a real bitch to remove on the side of the road and made a mess. He was the only douche cop I ever encountered in NH so far.

Did you order them with extra ride height? I would not want new springs to put me a couple inches taller in the back, that would look ridiculous! I'm looking at either 2k lb or 2.5k lb springs for the F-150. I think 2.5k lb springs might be a bit overkill and likely ride like a hay wagon.

Wow, sounds like you got a real asshat of a cop unfortunately. Can they even do that, impound a car for tint? Seems like it would be a 'fix it' ticket at best.

It's not a set number it's a function of your height compared to the wheelbase.

Can they do it? I'm sure they can. They are cops, they can pretty much do anything they damn well please.

For those of us that live in Mass and own modded cars/trucks its going to get a hell of a lot stricter in a few months. In October I hear they're rolling out a new setup to inspection stations with live cameras for inspectors to be checked on by the state. This includes visual inspection for catalytic converters, bulbs being out, tires sticking out etc. Because of this I'm going in for my inspection this month just to get it out of the way. I'll send my beater lancer in for inspection late October to test the waters and see what the new process is. Even my 'contact' that gets me by pretty much everything except OBD2 emission readiness is scared.

Mine are the 90-297HD. They're "HD" leaf springs, four leafs but they're a little thicker and beefier than Toyota TSB springs.

Yeah, I have a friend who has a small garage/dealership and inspection station. He told me he won't let someone he doesn't know slide because folks from the state would come in with a car that shouldn't pass and make sure he doesn't let things go. He apparently got in trouble for letting someone pass with one bad plate bulb and telling them just to get it replaced because it was a state guy.
