Yes, the seats are horrible. I'm only 31 years old, ~170lbs, and even on a short errand trip, my ass is killing me when I get out of the truck. If I'm on a roadtrip, I can barely even walk when I get out.

The seat feels almost like it's made of concrete. lol

I feel like even if the seats were just more bucketed, they would be more comfortable. I've personally found they're so flat/level that it kind of forces bad sitting posture as you gradually slide forward in the seat, thus putting most of your weight solely on you butt (instead of also on your legs). I find myself constantly having scoot back into the seat and correct my sitting posture in these seats.

Wow. Opinions do vary. I actually prefer stiff seats over soft/cushy seats. I think the Tacoma's seats are ok. My GTI had rock hard seats and they were amazing, in my opinion.
I think size, shape, angle, etc., are bigger factors than firmness. (There is a joke in there somewhere.)

And I've never had this in other seats to this degree. At almost every other light, I have to scoot myself back into the seat as I've managed to slowly slide forward in them. The seating surface seriously needs to be at a more bucketed angle, IMO.

I already test drove a new F150 as I'm still considering making the switch. The seats were like a slice of heaven. lol

    Guess everybody's ass is different.

I do an 8 hour drive every few months and have never had an issue. And the seat heater is amazing on my lower back. There's times I go sit in it and listen to music just to loosen up.

I don't find the seats to be comfortable or uncomfortable but adequate, more adjustments would greatly help and I do like that they are heated.

The seats feel very comfortable to me. I'm a big guy (6'2", 300 lbs) and my wife is small (5'2", 140 lbs) says that they are comfortable to her as well.

I think this truck was made specifically to fit my size: 5'9 195lbs and 34y/o

I sit with the seat 3 or 4 clicks away from fully-back position, reclined about 110 degrees. My knees are slightly bent and arms just about fully extended with the telescoping feature at full extension.

Don't mind that I've had my truck for a full 3 days

Same here. The seating position and seat is why I wanted this truck. I'm 5'9" and about 185 lbs. Must be made for my size. Maybe it's because Japanese people are short too?

The steering wheel telescopes? Hadn't noticed that.

It wasn't the hardness of the seats that was the problem for me. Like you, I enjoy a good cushion but for me it's the positioning. I've tried everything but the seat is either: 1) close enough my hands comfortably reach the wheel and my knees basically rest on the dash and feet go a few solid inches past usable pedal travel, 2) far enough that my legs can stretch out but too far to comfortably grab the wheel without stretching , or 3) the 'middle ground' where I constantly fidget closer or further away in the seat so that at different times the pedals and wheel are comfortable

Yep. If the steering wheel telescoped more that would be really helpful.

I sat in another 2017 tacoma seat today, no problems at all. I starting looking at my seat, and its looks like something is wrong for sure. the seat has a sag towards the back, like something gave-way underneath. Hopefully toyota will figure it out.

I actually like that they are stiff. Did 2 8 hour road trips and my body did not ache at all.

agree with others in that set are stiffer...and my ass hurts like hell when i get out,,,but, not too bad while driving....some discomfort in right leg but i just adjust my ass cheek....would prefer softer seat
