Thanks, love that camper. My taco tows it. I installed a brake controller, frame hitch and tundra brakes. I bought the Casita new, had to drive to the factory in Texas to pick it up. I got my taco up & running in just a week and a half before making that trip.

Casita may be for sale. Since I bought my cabin wife & I don't think we're gonna be using the camper. It's fully equipped, shower and all. I paid $700 just for the damn custom mattress in that thing, but it was worth every penny.

Not sure. I haven't priced around. One thing I do know is before I bought this one brand new I looked for a used one and I quickly learned how much these little fiberglass campers hold their value. They are built to last unlike a stick built camper. I ordered this one in 2014 and it was only a couple grand more than if i bought used one. It's a 3-6 month wait for a new one. It's crazy how these campers have such a cult following. I've been to some Casita rallies, they have them all over the country.

well shit. it appears my trans has decided it wants to start slipping now... i know for a fact that it hasnt been opened or serviced since new as the factory paint marks are still present, and the service history never shows toyota diving into it. any idea if a simple full flush of the trans will help? or am i already hosed and looking at a new transmission? Edit: as of today im at about 135k miles, and its an 07

    Yawn...
It's kind of risky/scary to start worrying about trans maintenance AFTER it starts to act up.

Typically, that's the only time when customers start to worry and take action. A flush makes matters worse.

Any suggestions then? The truck is my dd, so I was hoping maybe some new fluid might help. Maybe just drain/refill the pan instead of a flush?

I don't mean to speculate behind a phone as to what's best for your Taco.

I just remember my chain auto shop days and having constant "comebacks" due to messing with fluids on trans just starting to misbehave...

Maybe there's an active diag code? Wouldn't know for sure. Can only speculate.

My suggestion is take it in and get her checked out. It's probably not as bad as you think.

I've come to the conclusion that I am one of the very few on TW that doesn't give a _ _ i_ about patch collecting .

I don't understand it either. I also don't like putting stickers on my truck but the majority seem to dig it.:notsure:

I came from drift cars, where we literally put stickers wherever they fit. This is like the "grown up" equivalent for me :anonymous:

Edit: yes, my truck is also covered in stickers, haha. I'm ashamed to admit how much money I've spent on stickers in my life.

I will put them on gear. Coolers, laptop, tumbler etc. I just don't like how they look on my truck.

So I stopped by the dealer that I bought the Subie from and they've got my truck listed..

Who's gonna go buy it? Only a cool $22.5k.

Like new condition. Only 113k miles, two bad LBJs, dying leafs, tires with 80k miles on them, and a dented/rusted bumper.:laugh::laughing:

It's being sold with a msi so I'm sure they replaced the lbj's if they were faulty & if the tires have 80k on'em they probably replaced those as well.
