    I got em. 305/65/17.

NOISY as F*CK. My Cooper Mud Terrains made less noise on the highway. These are great tires though, if you don't mind the noise

Man... Are they that noisy? I had pretty much decided to buy a set of these next week in 265/75/16... I have heard people say they were not as noisy as many of the other ATs. Some even said they were quieter than the BFG ATs...

So confused... I love the look of the tires and can deal with some road noise but if it is a terrible drone all the time then I may need to reconsider. I had one guy say they were extremly heavy and killed his fuel mileage... but when I look at the specs it weighs 59lbs and a BFG AT weighs 57lbs.

I found what I think is a pretty good deal on them... $740 OTD....

They are LOUD for ATs. If you lived near me I'd take you for a ride to see for yourself. I know BFGs are quieter than these. Not to heavy, though. If you want a quiet AT, look at the Yokohama Geolandar, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo Open Country AT, or Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ PLUS

Those are all made for people who want an AT tire but still drive a lot of highway. Easy on the gas, easy on noise, but still grip ok offroad.

Serious? I had Cooper Discoverer STTs (is that what you are callin Mud Terrains?) and would not get them again because of the noise at speed... I thought the tread of the Baja ATZs looked like it would be quieter!

Yes, the STTs are what I am calling Mud terrains :) They were pretty well mannered for mudders, but the tread on the mickeys make just as much noise at speed.

I was really hoping for a quieter tire, seeing as my commute to work might increase by about 35 miles in one direction, but now I am already in these $1000 so I will just deal with it until they wear out.

Mickey also says the tread has "rock kickers". I have found that the tread is really good for holding rocks and not letting go of them. I have had to use my keys on a few occassions to dig rocks out of the tread

Thanks Chris... I had hopped for a good 'Baja' tire for the new truck, instead of just a good truck tire like I had before (Cooper Discoverer ATR or Toyo Open Country AT)... The Baja ATZ was my first choice... Then maybe the Dick Cepek Fun Country... But a quiet highway tire is as important as looks and desert ability for me.

glad I could help. Any tire with beefy tread like the baja atz is going to be noisy. Aggressive tread and noise go hand in hand, good luck with your search!

I've been running them for about 10 months now, and I'm pretty happy with them. They last a pretty long time, and get decent traction off road.

im running them on my truck right now 33x12.5 18. they are super quiet for a very aggressive treaded tire even on the highway. super sticky n grab the road. havent taken them into the dirt yet. the ride is excellent, smooth. doesnt throw balance after a while.

I've had mine few a few months now (285/70/17) and I love them! I dont think they're that noisy at all! I highly recommend them.
