I picked it up at home depot near me. I was wondering the same thing because I thought it was an odd color to carry in store. But I went online to confirm they had it in store it said.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant, did you paint any of the components like the horns, coolers, hoses, etc, that are visible as you look through the grill?

I did not. I don't know if it would make that huge a difference, or not.

    Looks Great!!!!!!!!!!

I called and talked to the guy at Custom Car Grills the other day. Very nice guy. I did not know that if pay the $310 for the mesh and bezel they just use a black plastic bezel and glue the mesh to it. You can save some money if you just buy the mesh and glue it to your own bezel. Of course after you plasti dip it. Or not.

I think I am going to save some money and just plasti dip my bezel and grill and add the devil horns to save some money and see how I like it. Unless I can find a nice all metal piece (bezel too). I was looking at the T Rex grill inserts and those are cool witht he bolt heads around the bezel and thought that would match my wheels. It might be a little too intense for my style though. Too in your face.

Yours turned out great though! Good job! ANd yea, I would not have been able to wait either LOL.

    Thanks

I paid $100 for the sr5 grill and $90 for the black bezel that I painted flat black.

Makes it a lot nicer for the cost of 1 can of plastidip. I can't justify throwing 3-400 bucks on looks when that could go to other functional parts. Black trim on inferno looks awesome.

Yea, I am just finding it hard to justify less than 10 bucks vs over 300 for any mesh and bezel setup.....especially since the devil horns are costing me 120.......

And I just got on that damn led turn signal thread so that is another 125..........

Tacoma Nation T Shirts, decals, key fob, key fob decals.......LOL I think I have a sickness........

I haven't even had the truck 3 months yet and I am in for approaching 4k already...........

It's a slippery slope for sure. I'm almost up to the amount I spent on my previous car in 3 years in just 1 year of this truck. What's nice is that it's not a dick measuring/horsepower contest with trucks than it is in the german car game.

I live in a pretty awesome place. We have like 13 different ecosystems here all within ~3 hours drive. You can go from a beach to temperate rain forest to alpine meadows /forests and to sand dunes in one day.

We just had a town meeting where I live and a cull was one option brought forward. Another was a sterilization procedure. Half the town loves them the other half hates them. It's part of my job to euthanize injured deer in my area so while they are a pain I get a little extra jingle to mod my Toyota's out of them.

Yea, I am a vehicle nut. I've literally had 15 different new vehicles since 2002. I'm on my 4th truck. I basically trade them in every 3 to 4 years, or as the running joke goes here at work, before they need to have the worn tires replaced. The point being, I have been a member of a lot of forums in the last 15 years. This is definitely one of the best yet and I have to agree in that there are not a lot of egos to deal with here, if any. My Harley forums were the same way. I joined the Lexus forum when I bought that in 16' and haven't been on it more than a handful of times. And that's just my commuter car. The truck is my tool. I use it to do chores and for vacations.

Yea, that's a pretty awesome shot for sure. I Live in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed area and my 10-20 is Northern Harford County, about 3 miles south of Pa. It's all farms (horse, cows, and crops) up near me. 3 hours away south is our own seashore resort town of Ocean City. West of me about 6 hours is Deep Creek Lake (the only real mountains here in Maryland). It's nice being able to enjoy so much diversity like we do. Because I am surrounded by trees I would have to drive a distance to get that view in your shot though. Very nice. I Love the beach though and can't wait to get my Taco down there and get some shots.....will be September for my 30th Anniversary. I hope to actually get out on the sand too. We'll see......Luckily the wife is into vehicles as well.

Keep the great photos (and mods) coming, I love em'.
