I don't think zip ties would work on this spot. Its the interface between the flexible and the tubing at the wheel.

The clamp holds this union to the anchor bracket.

Absolutely she will as long as I don't tell her :D . She'd probably get more pist at me about the guns then truck parts. She just can grasp the concept of you can never have too many guns.

Thanks man! I thought about those. But the price of some decent ones and I'm just under half price of a better roof rack lol.

I wonder if anyone makes quick connect roof mounts.

Edit: front runner does. But $$$

Well besides the Prinsu bars coming quick from CBI, they also sent two packs of Rack bolts, free.

Now I can change all of the original side anodized bolts to the new black ones. Thanks CBI! Lol

Mine was an early model that came with the standard skinny bars. They aren't very sturdy and flex a lot with weight. Added two of the newer 'HD' bars (now the regular bar' to help add strength.

I used vice grips but it came loose the other day. Freaked me out. Wish I could get a crescent on it. Maybe @JLee can design and cut us some wrenches out of 1/4 plate. with a slight bend to get the handle away from the truck. A crescent head is just to big to fit.
