I searched and didn't find what I was looking for. Has anyone replaced the factory intake tube between the MAF and throttle body with aftermarket replacements? Mine is cracked in multiple places and causing vacuum leaks.

O'Reilly's wants $100 for Dorman 696-018, an OE tube. For that price I was wondering if there were any other suggestions.

I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to get a length of metal tube, add fittings for the vacuum hoses, and then connect it with silicon elbow connectors

Yeah, I saw that it. It does look pretty great but also seems pretty steep at $150 for what it is... I'll have to see what universal tubing the auto part store has next time I'm in

4- or 6-cylinder? Have you checked Toyota?

I replaced mine on the 4-cylinder with a Toyota part for under $25. The tube which is above the head cover. 17882-0C010

I haven't checked Toyota because I figured it would be most expensive

Thought about it but for as old as these trucks are I'd rather replace with new

ah I think I found what you're talking about!

edit: these parts total to $112.47, cheaper than a full intake but still seems like a lot for a tube

I looked into doing that for my 3RZ and came to the same conclusion. I ended up buying the oem rubber hose for $65 and just replacing it. I'm not sure what the 5VZ hose costs, but it can't be much more.

I found an OEM one on eBay for like $65 new. But if I remember they were about $95 from any of the online Toyota Dealers. Not bad in the scheme of things. I'm glad I got OEM it fit like a glove and nice to have soft rubber again!

on my 96 3.4 it is actually the intake tube and an additional hose that has been modified, the stock hose that comes off of the intake tube close to the throttle body is larger.

Unless prices have gone up the ones from Toyota are not that bad .

    I bought 3 new ones .

All the same one for the 2000 and 2 others for my 3.4 swaps.

I just did not feel like making one to me time is money

Ye time is money. But I like the way my setup cleans up the engine bay without the resonator chamber.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
My son made a intake tube from some Home Depot pvc for his 2.7 ltr. He swore he felt a power increase while I laughed at it. But it only cost him a couple bucks.
