All the 3 leaf Progressive AAL advertise 1.5 inches of lift minimum, I got just a shade under 2 inches with the wheelers. You can also look into a custom leaf pack depending on your needs. Wheeler's also offers that.

You can also choose a single AAL that offers either 1.5 or 2 inches of lift but they can be pretty stiff if your bed is empty most of the time. The 3 leaf AAL is supposed to provide a better ride than the single AAL, that's why I went that route. Vey pleased with the lift and ride so far, final settling of springs after 3 weeks has both front settling at 1 and 7/8ths inches of lift front, 2 inches in the rear.

Did you have to get the extended 5100 in the rear?

Had a shop do it, getting too old and too busy to clamor around on my back with my truck in the air doing all four corners. They had it lifted, aligned and the ECGS bushing done all in a day.

Thinking of installing the 885 up front along with the 3 leaf in the rear as I already have installed 3rd gen 5100's. Question is could someone take a picture of the leaf spring with aal from the rear? Would like to see how it helps the negative arch

I want to pull the trigger on getting some Dakars, but is anyone having issues with using non-extended 5100's? I just got the 5100's a few weeks ago.

There's nothing really close in Chesapeake, most of the time I go either down to Badin Lake in Uwharrie NF down in NC or the Peter's Mill (Tasker's Gap) in the George Washington NF.

    Here's the permit info

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/nfsnc/recreation/ohv/recarea/?recid=78483&actid=93

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/gwj/passes-permits/?cid=fsbdev3_000477

Most of the time it's just easier and closer to go down to the OBX.

When I say "fire trails", I mean mostly two trail dirt / unpaved roads.

Does this help? Bed is empty except for the toolbox in it. Yes, I know the shock boots can trap moisture but I like them. Still on the fence about removing them.20170810_160617.jpg 20170810_161008.jpg 20170810_161042.jpg

Mine are 3 leaf AAL with the overload left in.

    You're welcome.

If you skip doing the ECGS bushing you're looking at about $600 in parts for a very manageable lift with really no disadvantages in handing, ride or alignment.

Refresh my mind and can you tell me the advantages are to the ECGS? And what exactly it is?

Here's the details but in a nutshell it replaces the weaker factory needle bearing with a more robust clamshell bushing to prevent vibrations that sometimes are present in lifted trucks.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-diff-vibes-ecgs-bushing-fix.464941/#post-13883949

Since the front end was already apart I had the shop go ahead and replace the needle bearing twith the ECGS bushing as a preventive measure; I had no vibes before the lift but why take chances? Bushing is $60 but I'd recommend also getting the removal tool and seal too. You might even need to get the insertion tool depending on the shop or your tool inventory if you're doing it yourself. That added about $200 more to the cost of parts and tools, shop charged me $235.00 in labor to do it.

This looks like a nice setup. I might end up going a similar route eventually.

Hey got a question, installed 5100w/885 coils setbacks at 0. I am getting front end noise when truck traveling on in level roads at slow speed. Any answers would help. Thanks
