Holy butt pucker! And awesome moves by all the drivers involved by moving to the sides allowing you that extra room. Even though it was probly coincidence, and some luck.

 

I was just giving you a hard time. That's kinda funny though. It's the opposite of the stereotype

 

Ah, the Texas big city. Ride the brakes when merging onto the highway! It's a great plan!

And trigger your anti-lock at the first sign of brake lights, especially if it's not in your lane.

Artificial traffic jams, ya bet! Everything is bigger in Texas!

 

I appreciate both of them for their strengths. I carry the 1911 as a deterrent, it's all black and full size, most people don't want to get involved with that. And it's a good thing AZ allows open carry, concealing it isn't easy.

 

I had to pull my pea shooter out once, with a taxi driver, just laid it on a dark dash and told the douche to look. He made sure I saw him unload his 38, popped his bubble. It was nickle plated, 6" long, and spit out 357s.

I just had a wreck back in November. While relatively minor, I still got hurt and required surgery and rehab. I don't care to repeat that.

 

Asshole BMW driver in a hurry. He cuts off a guy as we transfer from I17 to Loop 101, then overtakes me and passes me and another car after our lanes have already merged. Then he speeds along the ramp only to end up in bumper to bumper traffic. If he just stayed put, he would have never had to slow down. First time trying to use my 2 channel dashcam video. Sorry for the crappy editing. I noticed afterward the audio (horn) is out of sync *shrug* Also, I did a poor job mounting the rear cam. The vertical tear looking thing to the right is my crappy tint. I need to remount it, but I don't have another sticker mount.

whenever I'm in a lane that has another lane merge into mine, I always watch my rearview for someone trying to pull some shit like that. If they do, I happily put my car in the way of theirs so they can't go anywhere. Really brightens my day!

 

Not to promote violence but that right side mirror, while he was stopped would be potential baseball bat worthy...

 

Quick vid of some Prius driver who thought pulling out from a stop sign in front of a turning truck was smart.



In this video I pass by a burned semi on an interstate on-ramp. Turns out a passing semi driver thought he'd take a photo of the burned semi. In the process he lost control and drove through a guard rail and into oncoming traffic. This video shows the aftermath.



And this video shows a couple near head on collisions @MTgirl and I had during our recent road trip. We had 2 or 3 others that my dashcam unfortunately overwrote. The end clip shows an oncoming car that very suddenly just decided to whip a left turn into the median for no reason.

No EarthRoamer driving down the center of a 15 foot wide road and refusing to let us pass. No forest service fire truck speeding on a dirt road nearly hitting us. No semi with an empty trailer blowing down a dirt mountain road either.

 

Sounds about right for phx... that place is a zoo.

It was a trip to Phoenix this past June that made me decide that I needed a dash cam.

 

Yeah they drive like assholes when they come up the mountain for the summer and or weekend here. I avoid our little downtown area all summer its just a zoo and everyone in a hurry with pissy attitudes.
