My first thought was Corning. My grandfather had those blocks in the entrance way to his house. He was the Chief Engineer at the Corning plant in Wellsboro. He shows up on the 1940 census as a factory labor there at $400 a year. Worked his way up the ladder and finished his degree and taught Ceramic Engineering at Mansfield State. I was supposed to do the same at Alfred State one of the few places you can get a degree in Ceramic Engineering. Ended up deciding my idea of Ceramic Engineering was to launch a Nuke weapon into the sand, it also makes glass.

I know Corning well lot of Uncles and family worked and lived there. Used to be Corning Glass now it is Corning Inc, they went through a Corning Works also. They make the fiber optic switches that we use at work.

Supper tonight is more wings, with a twist. Garlic Parmesan and rub a dub\Memphis rub .

    20 min in.

Tossed and coated and back on for a crust

Worked well. Hard to go wrong with wings.

I was stuck getting across the overpass on my way home because if this. I hope he/she is OK. Looks like they flipped on the entrance ramp.

Doing great and ol Toby is doing great. He has a new little brother to aggravate him now. It's a lot of work having a new pup in the house. Our school is waiting until the day after the eclipse to start. It sounds like it's going to be a mad house around here.

    Happy Birthday Buddy!

I love the kid/puppy pics where their expression is pure "can we please get this pose for the picture bit over with. :frusty: "

I like the old carpentry. I took a ton of pics of my relatives barns and such in Virginia of old hand carved tongue and groove, mortise and tender name but lost the pics and they burnt the barn after it fell down.

I'm trying to not eat anything yet, still need to pack work lunch. I should be napping but dogs had a different plan. Not sure I'll get more nap or not, very much awake now ... slept 3 hrs this morning and then another 2 hrs this afternoon. :notsure:

I'm trying to catch up on sleep. Didn't sleep well with burnt neck. Now my mind is off my neck and on my shoulder where the tetanus shot is.
    I'm needing a vacation
