Yes @Bill Bixby, I have had some really bad luck at almost every turn it seems. My first cross country trip and with the entire family to boot is coming up next Wednesday. In this truck, that is. Heading out to Wyoming, am a little worried with all that has happened. Everything seems good other than that broken stud which should be fixed by then. So fingers crossed. :fingerscrossed:

Just picked my truck up from the Katzkin installer. Black with black stitching and black logo. Got the "more leather" version and they're awesome! Looks even better in person. (2017 TRD OR DCSB)

How have your mud flaps held up? My first 2017 off road had them, then it got totaled, and the truck I bought to replace it didn't have them. Initially I didn't worry about it but my fiancé and here dad think i need them to prevent damage to the paint, so I was thinking something soft, but might just get the ones from Toyota again.

I bought it. 2017 TRD OR with the tech package, JBL sound, and the factory tonneau. It will be a slow build, but I hope to be driving it for years. I do have a set of steps/sliders on the way, pics should be up in a couple of weeks.

I took the afternoon at work off and got the lift and Flowmaster cat back system installed today.

2nd gen Bilsteins set at zero, OME 888's and HS 3 leaf progressive w/factory overload left in. Sitting on 265/75/16's with ATX AX195's -12 offset wheels. Zero rubbing and I was able to reinstall the factory mudguards.
I left my before and after specs at work but I ended up very close to advertised lift for this combination. I plan in driving it for a day or two to let the suspension settle before aligning it. At this point it drives great and rides as good as stock from what I recall and I added almost 3". A huge thank you to marie@headstrong for all the help. It turned out just I had hoped.

    Before and after shots.

Congrats on the new truck! Looks beautiful! Are you getting steps or sliders? Steps won't work very well as sliders. They will typically cause more damage than if you had nothing there.

They are sort of a combo. They are bed mounted sliders, but with the filler plates to act as step plates.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a complete set, including QS inlays for the PRO grill I'm putting on tomorrow.

Interesting. Haven't heard of bed mounted sliders. Please post pics when you get them installed so I can see how they look. Thx.

    Haha,
Oh, its been a long day, that must be a sign that it's time to switch from beer to whiskey. I meant frame mounted sliders. I will post pics when I get them though. They are currently on back order.

RokBlok Flaps have held up great after almost a year and 400 miles on the trails. I have bent them back countless times coming off of tall rocks. Their coverage and paint protection has been great. I don't have one negative thing to say about them. There may be a cheaper flexible alternative mud flap out there but the quality of these is great.

I woukd never go with the hard OEM flaps if you plan to do any kind of serious off reading. Eventually they will be bent back and will either snap off or take part of your fender flare with them. Good luck either way you decide to go.
