Think I'd go for the hardwood lump charcoal first. I use a base of the cheapest Kinsford well lit and then put the lump on top of it. Once the lump is burning well and flames shooting out of the top I throw on the wings. It is unreal how hot it gets was afraid it wouldn't cook all the way through but no problem. In 10 minutes you can hear the skin start to pop. I use the cheap lump at home depot nothing special.

Could likely get another cook out of the remaining coals but already have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. And dinner, and... I need to find someone to help me eat around here!

 

Evening everyone

Just got back from the car show and had a lot of fun there tonite . Got to enjoy some good ole Bench racing sessions . A lot of people liked my Camaro even some drag racers who were there liked my Camaro . Its so funny when you start up an engine with a large cam ,lots of compression and good exh note how people will congregate around it drooling because how it sounds

Watching MAV TV right now and watching Junior Late models at Madera Speedway . this is a rules restricted pavement Late Model series for kids 10 -16 yrs old and they're running 602cubic inch crate motors

You wouldn't even know kids are driving them especially a 10 yr old , they're very competitive and aggressive
